airsoft...been wanting to pick up a AK....but i was thinking....airsoft or real? :p

We did a huge California vs Nevada paintball game near Carson back in the ol' dayz. Seems like NV is the holyland of para-military activity.

+ everything is basically legal in Nevada....

:teeth

This sign cracked me up. "Thank you for the suggestion. We will now ignore it."

We shot some real-steel late afternoon but it was just so damn hot out there that I wasn't in the mood to pop more than a hundred rounds through the ARs and 700 PSS. We shot the hell out of a car and a steel gong at 300 yards though. Not to mention we killed quite a few rocks. Don't think anybody thought to take any pictures of the real-steel shoot either...

I have a hella nice reminder on my shoulder / collar bone area from that 700.

I got a few pics when we were shooting....but not post worthy.

You should try and make it Saturday in the morning. You'll still have the whole day to do whatever else. :D

We got high-90s this past weekend, we had a decent breeze that gave some relief though.

Oh, Cabelas in Boomtown was pretty disappointing overall. It was only about as big as most Lucky's. Sales were mostly on camping gear and BB guns and patio furniture crap. I came in prepared to spend money and only walked out with another pair of Peltor 6Ps (behind the head) and a Surefire G2. Knives were crap, typical hunting/fishing stuff. The Gun Library was OK, but nothing mind-blowing, it was all very NRA-PC stuff.

A few more added to the collection - with one major knife (to me) on the way...

First up: Green Ken Onion Ti Bump #1149 of 3000
Anodized green and gold ti frame - S30V recurve blade. Very pretty...
I *really* want a gray one of these but they're nowhere to be found.

Second we have the Zero Tolerance/Strider 0300. This is a COOL knife - made at Kershaw (Zero Tolerance) in collaboration with Mick Strider. G10 on one side Ti on the other - matching textured grips. It's an assisted opener and it's VERY satisfying to open. Makes a loud "Thwock" when opened :teeth

I'm VERY close to making this my next EDC...but it's too pretty to mar...

It says '0177' on the blade so I'm not sure if this is number 177 of XXXX?

Next up - Kershaw Tyrade (first production run) due in later this week!

PS - anyone want to buy a Mircotech Vector? Let me know!

in two weeks?> NV ? i wanna go

I would love to invite you but we keep it a pretty small group. We kinda opened it up the second year and it was a big clusterfuck. So the last four years we've kept it pretty low key. We do invite new people but they have to meet everyone first and get the OK from the group. I'd love to have you come along, if you still want to go next year just come shoot some of the people and I'm sure you'll get an invite. Come out to Chabot Saturday and you'll meet some of the people. :)

Brandon has then same problem with knives that Ratters does with cigars.

Oh, so we have to create an opening in the group? :rofl
