They looked as beat up as all their other SKS. I wasn't too impressed. Bothers me that all the CA-illegal ones that you can find on gunbroker.com and such are almost all in flawless condition for less than they're going here.

webber,, get a job, you should be able to make 60 bucks in a day no problem. then you wont be tripping over chump change. i blow 60 bucks a day on random bs all the time. plus you wont be looking at those cheap things anymore, im looking at like 1k+ guns now, its worth the money, y ou get better guns

yeah, seriously..college sucks up most of my time and energy, but I got a couple prospects lined up when I get to Davis. Holding my fingers crossed :teeth Yeah $60 is considered chump change, but umm, I just blew about $500 from a couple jobs I did this summer on my bedroom :(

Well, back in the war days, in the bomb shelter, I slept on a pile of wood. That sucked. Now I prefer plush mattresses and duck feather comforters :twofinger

OK, before I make ANOTHER 100 mile roundtrip to San Leandro, the saleseperson behind the counter told me the SKS aren't on sale anymore, but their ad says otherwise:

Damnit, they say "M59/66" rifle, too, I'm thinkin' they're either full of shit or another sale started as this one ended. I don't know about that though..'cause the /66 had a price tag of $239 yesterday.
 
Have you ever considered an old bolt action Mauser? Those are fun to restore and they're actually pretty good quality and damn accurate. You can find a quality german made one for less than two bills - just be aware that some of the ones you can order on line may have nazi markings and I'm personally not into that $hit... :hand
 
Yeah, I've looked at Mausers, but umm, I need a semi-auto...we ain't winnin' no revolution with Russian antiques, right Tom? :laughing

How do you like those rounds that you bought from Trader..that 1000rd for $90 case? I remember we had no issues with it the last time we went shooting..it's Russian milsurp non-corr, right?

Oh and I'll stop being a pussy and go buy the fucking SKS tomorrow. Still on sale until next Wednesday, still same price, still same M59s (even though the ad says 59/66, it's all good)

Then Shotline, Ratters, (any others?) and I can all be SKS-buddies!

Just remember - at Traders, you have to actually bring the ad in to get the price. If the ad says it's on sale and you don't have it, they'll charge you full price.

I always ask to see the ads when I go it. I just tell them I don't get the paper. Never had a problem. Acutally even bought my Kimber over the phone while I was on my Honeymoon in Hawaii with a credit card. Just did the paperwork when I got back but I got the sale price without even being there.

If the ad says 59/66 for that price, they will give it to you for that price if that is what you want.

Yeah, but what would you do in my situation? 59? 59/66?
I like night sights and muzzle brakes..but they said there were only a couple /66 rifles left, but for $170 otd, I'm not gonna bitch.
