BARF Militia

there was a monstrous 50 cal at the shop the other day. what I want to know is what do you do with one of these? :confused it's like straight off a tank or something.

:laughing I can appreciate that :p

seriously how about more rifles and shotguns pics. or direct me somewhere appropriate. legal ones you can buy in Calif though. like that kel-tec posted earlier. that's pretty wicked. looking at my crusty old mossberg I have long arm envy now. wah!

.50s are fun to shoot and people shoot 1000yrd. matches with them. There isn't too much in the way of cool black rifles in California anymore. You can still get cool black bolt actions if you like:

I was shooting at clay pigeons on that hill lasered at 360 yards. There is also a 9" steel ram about half way up the hill. Pigeons were tough to hit but I nailed the ram every time.

wow like 3/4 a mile away. I can barely stay in the circle a couple feet away :toothless

did you see that guy on ripley's shooting some ancient bolt action. I forget the distance but remember the bullet took 3 seconds to hit. he rang that bell 2x in a row :wow using a telescope confirmed the hits before the sound could even travel back.

Just to tease you, since you can't have one in Kalifornia... :laughing :laughing

At first I thought maybe it was something else, but a .45ACP?! Why?? That's not exactly a long range target round... oh well, to each his own.

Nice Troy, What are the "X's"?

A neat weapon above. Very acurate.... .75 --> .50 MOA. Course, I'm not .75....

I bought mine in Virginia from a private seller back in 1995. It actually has never been shot. My Dad owns 4 SKS's and I have shot his a bunch. I really like the gun. Easy to shoot, cheep ammo, easy to clean. It attracts too much attention here in California with the big dinner knife on the end of it though.

I have had mine to the range several times and I don't get a second look.

Holeshot...I have no idea. Its a 1950 model and I believe a Russian one at that although possible Chinese. I am not sure if the Star indicates Russian or Chinese.
