BARF Militia

How about BARF Fishing militia? :laughing I'm getting my dad some fishing equipment since I work at Big 5 and we have some sales going on.

Quick question about mags:
I have this box of 30 round detachable magazines for the SKS that I've had sitting around my dad's house from about 1997 ;) :shhhIf it were legal to sell these today, how much would you pay for them? Would $30 be a good price?

Ahhh, so nice to see a judge that enforces our laws by the book... :|

Justice wasn’t served in Tidwell gun-theft case

FORMER San Bernardino County Sheriff Floyd Tidwell's plea bargain on charges of stealing more than 500 guns during his tenure has led to a reduced sentence that saves the public nothing, even as it saves Tidwell from going to prison.
Justice, indeed, has been cheated. And so have law-abiding citizens, who expect that San Bernardino County's one-time top law enforcement officer be held liable for his transgressions.

Instead, Judge J. Michael Welch on Tuesday reduced Tidwell's felony charges to misdemeanors, sentenced him to three years' probation and fined him $10,000.

Welch seemed to wink and look the other way at Tidwell's contemptible practice of lifting guns from the Sheriff's Department's property room and rewarding them willy-nilly to sworn deputies, reserve deputies, volunteers and even his two sons, Danial and Steven, both deputies at the time.

In letting Tidwell off the hook, Welch dismissed the whole affair as a bygone custom something out of the era of cowboy sheriffs that has since been discontinued. We would think that this kind of good old boy favoritism doesn't happen in Los Angeles County under Sheriff Lee Baca and District Attorney Steve Cooley. Right?

Still, Tidwell's hypocrisy is something far less innocent than that when a sheriff thinks nothing of pilfering firearms, disposing of them however he pleases, and then suffering no accountability for it.

Nor has Tidwell admitted any wrongdoing. He pleaded guilty in May to four felony counts of concealing stolen property.

Part of the plea agreement is that Tidwell return the weapons. Though prosecutors believe he may have absconded with more than 1,000 guns while sheriff (he served from 1983 to 1991), Tidwell thus far has returned only about 160 of them.

For that, Tidwell walks away, chewing his tobacco, a free man. He still will draw his pension, though whether he will be allowed to remain a volunteer is still up in the air.

Will he have to pay even some small price for his misdeeds? That he has not been given the punishment he deserves is a disgrace to the legal system and an object lesson of what not to do for all law enforcement everywhere. It's also a betrayal of honest folks who put their faith in the law.

It's too bad that it's a crime for a Sheriff to give away guns, but it's even more offensive that he stole them to give them away. I wonder what the source was - crime guns that were supposed to be auctioned off? County property?

Regardless, liberals will still insist that passing gun control laws that don't apply to law enforcement/gov't (drop test, etc.) will keep those guns off the street. This guy is proof that it won't.

i want this to make my 10/22 auto, now that would be cool!!!!!

Why don't you let me borrow a couple of those mags.:teeth

I will only purchasing the upper as I already have a lower. The upper is manufactured by LMT Lewis Machine & Tool. The entire upper and foregrip is machine aout of one piece of aluminum and they also utilize a quick change barrel system. I will be getting the CQB foregrip 16" with a chrome lined 16" barrel. I will also be getting another barrel inthe new 6.8mm SPC round same barrel length. Only other thing I need to change is the bolt to swap back and forth between calibers :teeth

I also will be putting one of these bad boys on the for grip. It has dual lighting capabilities. It as a few small LEDs they call nav (navigation) lights and the main big light. The nav lights also come in different colors. I will be getting the red nav lights.

Also have to have some good optics. Aimpoint will be assigned this task. The Aimpoint CompM2 is the one I chose. This particular one is compatable w/ 3rd gen nightvision.

It will be held in place by a quick detatch LaRue mount. This mount will keep its zero no matter how many times it is removed and remounted.

Also going on will be a set of Troy Industries flip up front and rear sights. Just in case the optics go bad.

One-Shot Drops Surviving the Myth
By ANTHONY J. PINIZZOTTO, Ph.D., HARRY A. KERN, M.Ed., and EDWARD F. DAVIS, M.S.

On a summer evening in the northeastern part of the United States, a patrol officer received a radio dispatch at approximately 7 p.m. to respond to an address for a disorderly subject. The officer arrived at the location and parked his patrol vehicle on the opposite side of the street, several houses away. Before exiting the vehicle, the officer paused to observe the scene. He saw a male move from behind a large tree in front of the address of the alleged disorderly subject. The officer started to exit his vehicle, but then stopped when he saw the male, with a gun in each hand, begin to run toward him. The man fired both weapons at the officer, who returned two rounds from his service weapon, striking the male in the center of his chest. However, the man continued to fire. One round struck the officer in the head, killing him instantly. The male survived the two gunshot wounds and later was convicted of killing the officer.

This scenario is a collage of several cases dealing with the use of deadly force, by and against law enforcement, that the authors have examined over the last decade. Studying these cases and interacting with officers attending the FBI National Academy,1 who have experienced similar incidents in their own agencies, have led them to question if officers have died because of any of the following factors: ...

Anybody want to read a great survival fiction?

http://mfco.net/surv/fiction/

Check out Light's Out by Half Fast. He's only about 70% done but it's turning out to be a really great read. It's about an EMP burst that permanently takes out electricity in Europe and the United States, and what people had to do to survive.

I just finished reading all 65 chapters of lights out.

SOMEBODY CALL THAT BOY AND GET HIM TYPING!!!!!

I hate when a story is good and I can't finish it.
