I'll take this, thank you very much :)

I should have taken the pic with the insight m6 on it...oh well.

No manual safety. I pull it out of the holster and fire...no missing the manual safety or knocking it on by accident.

The XDs are nice, but I'll take either of my Kimbers over one any day. My thumb automatically rides over the safety, never had a problem with it going on or off when I didn't want it to.

maybe i'm getting in over my head, but maybe some of you "experienced guys" should come up to richmond and teach this "rookie" a thing or two on the IPSC line...

in fact, make that a standing boast for anyone on this forum to challenge.

Grip safety, trigger safety...overkill

might be overkill, but if it works, and a shooter is accurate and fast, what does it matter? Should we all be forced onto one type of motorcycle?

atek3 - how is the trigger on the XDs? I have been considering one, in 9mm, but have heard they have poor triggers. Has Springfield fixed that from the HS-2000 models?

:laughing :laughing :laughing

I was just kidding, guys..shit, lighten up :twofinger

Everyone knows that I am THE Barf Militia rookie. I think my entire shooting career is up to 300rds now :laughing :cry :blush

XD is cool looking + relatively inexpensive...American Glock, almost

But I still lust after them Kimbers...

factory trigger on the xd is okay for its intended purpose, self-defense. It's basically just like the glock except longer, mushier, and a longer reset, same weight 5 lbs. The gunsmith I sent mine to did a fantastic job of modifying the trigger. Now mine is very short, sub-3 lbs, and has no overtravel, and a short reset. I think he charged 100 dollars (well worth it imho).

No worries man :)

Actually the XD is known as the "croatian sensation" :)

300 rounds, jeez I go through more than that in a good weekend. Wanna come shoot sometime?

I thought Toni Kukoc was the Croatian Sensation. Either him or Dino Radja.

And I'd love to go shooting, except I usually work weekends and have school on weekdays. College sucks :( :cry My M59 and M44 are sitting in the closet all lonely.

oh well, when you get some time off, you ought to make it to a shoot.
