Look, I have no problem with BARF's name, the mascot, etc. I do kind of have a problem with a mod calling out Banjoboy for his schtick, when Budman follows up with indignation that someone would point out the juvenile nature oof the mascot, citing freedom of expression.
Banjoboy took flak (and a suspension it seems) for an "inside joke" that was unfair to lay on a newbie (who has been a member since 2012). The comment was interpreted as misogynistic apparently, even though it's an allusion to an inbred homosexual hillbilly from 1972.
Consider that the BARF logo is kind of an inside joke too. In most circles, flipping someone off is an insult. Around here, it's a term of endearment.
To be clear, I don't have an issue with how the site markets itself, but let's at least have consistent expectations for each other. And I can do without sexist comments too. Just be smart enough to know what's what, please.
