On a break
Feel like 5 guys has been way expensive since before covid.
In-N-Out is still under $9 for a Double double, fries and a drink.
The In-N-Out v 5 guys wars can find their own thread.

Once you've marinated and grilled the meat, soaked and cooked the beans, cooked the rice, grated the cheese, mixed the salsa, and mashed up the guacamole, heating and stuffing the tortilla is easy!

Yeah, but now you have to eat the shitty In-N-Out fries.
Isn't it weird that french fries are actually kinda better when they are cut and frozen rather than cut fresh and cooked right away like they do at In-N-Out? If you ask for your fries well done at In-N-Out I think they are decent. But for sure some other places have better fries.

Before COVID, the local market had burritos for $7.99
During COVID, the price rose to $10.99
Now, the burritos are $14.99
They are not ginormous but OK size to make a meal of.
This sucks! I haven't had a good burrito in two years. I bought one at $10.99, but I cannot afford the new price.

As if fast food manufacturing weren't nasty enough, it will be interesting to see what creative methods are used to counter rising costs.
the Mexican-inspired fast-food chain announced that its newest high-tech, two-story location, "Taco Bell Defy," will open doors this week. Customers visiting the Brooklyn Park, Minnesota location can expect to roll up to the drive-thru spot and find themselves face-to-face with video technology and a little food elevator rather than an employee outfitted with a headset.
The new location’s most prominent feature includes four drive-thru lanes where customers can have pickup orders dropped to their cars via a cylindrical "proprietary vertical lift." Picture the vacuum tube at bank drive-thrus, but for your Mexican Pizza.
