Civil Disobediance

You hate corrupt revenue enforcement systems, but rather than do something about it, you simply dodge it for your own benefit and brag about it online. You do nothing for the community. The rest of the community likes to see others follow the rules. It demonstrates they accept some of social contract and accept responsibility for your actions. The fact that you obey with your car, but not your moto just seems like you are a lazy protestor, or just trolling on a forum.

Didn't you admit awhile ago that you like to post things you don't actually believe in?

Com'on man, FatCampChamp isn't the only guy that gets it.

it is possible that there is a parallel between meter man = 2strokeyardsale

Probably ran your license and saw you're mostly squared away and the cop probably didn't want get into it with you. I imagine that if you've had a felony or misdemeanor he would have nailed your balls to the wall.

Did he let you go without a warning? If so that's unbelievable!

Yep. But it isn't a felony or a misdemeanor. When one chooses to
Ignore laws, one should know the possible outcomes beforehand.

It is quite sad that people yell troll when they don't like the discussion. The real
Troll is one who screams troll in a thread because they can't or don't want to provide a legitimate counterpoint.

He warned me verbally. He told me to put the license plate on.

I didn't receive a paper "official" warning. I don't know if they even do paper warnings in Colorado. I know in states like ID and MT Hwy Patrol will issue paper warnings that are recorded in the records systems they use.

I don't understand that either... I have a hand full of fun stories to tell of how cops let me go without a warning ticket too :) and lots of times they will let me go just because I was polite... You are a lucky guy and I consider myself one as well. Go on and be happy! BTW, thanks for sharing!

Do you have a plate on your bike? I also enjoy hearing when politeness gets one out of a ticket, not sure that was the point of the OP though.

Definitely got pulled over 35 minutes into riding a new bike one day by CHP for not having a rear plate.

Hard to believe nothing in 170k miles...

Maybe this should get moved to the leo zone... get to hear their take on all of this nonsense.

Here is a good one,
Just arrived in USA, I had a ford Escort with Expired tags, the car wasn't in my name (signed title only) no insurance, speeding, drunk with open beer in the car and I could only speak broken english.
BTW, I was leaving in Little Rock, Arkansas, and the cops pulled me over. He asked for my documents and all I had was the ones from Brazil, where I come from. He told me that none of those documents could be helpful here in the USA so he asked me to get out of the car.
When I did the first question he asked was if I had been drinking and without hesitation I answered: YES SIR! (common, it was Friday night!) so he looked at his partner and said: "I like that"
We talked for a bit more and he said this...
Boy, I'll let you go but I need to tell you 3 things before you go
1. Slow Down!!!
2. When you drink, Don't drive!!!
and 3rd and last thing... If I didn't liked you bumper sticker that much, you would get in jail right now boy!!!!
The bumper sticker said (Don't a PUSSY!)
:rofl

I'm not sure how one can avoid labeling you a troll when you post something like a "possible fact that this possibly happened".. but then you want opinions or " counterpoints " ?!?!? :)

Did it possibly happen or not, what counterpount do you want here, haha..
By definition that would be trolling for answers

And then not to mention the other posts in the KS for "the rise"..

Meh. I was trying to make it a bit amusing with the possibly statements.

The purpose of a discussion board is to discuss things. The topic of this thread is civil Disobediance and the reasons and consequences thereof.

Some people will agree, some won't, some will have a mixed feelings.

The Kitchen Sink is for pure amusement and thus one is not bound by the same etiquette or rules.

Certainly this topic is more interesting than another oil thread.
