I'm running one of those. It's one company that offers them thru a pilot program with California. Only about $100. Much cheaper than the monthly subscription that is the digital rear license plate pilot program. I'm happy with it.
What's the CVC that allows them Dave?

all right;; and going off long-term memory/… it was someyears ago, I watching the evening news where they stated/ starting July 1, California is too start enforcing that aa front license plate b on vehicles.
Which caused me to drill two holes in the Porsche. Kind of painful doing it.

Naw, front license plate law has been around since fifteen minutes after Henry Ford.
Yeah, front plates have been required the entire 28+ years I've been in the business.

Been here since 1984 from Florida, never run a front plate.

Got 2 fix it tickets in all that time with 2 cars.

Put on front plate, go to Police Station to have fix it ticket signed off, return home, return front plate to resting place in garage.

I keep the front plate for my Mini Cooper in its trunk. I’ve never been stopped or cited. And there is no provision for mounting one.

I have thought of machining a mount to attach the plate to my track day tow hook but I haven’t bothered in all these years.

I think that looks worse than a regular plate.

Ugh. Next time, Velcro.

I've only been pulled over once, but it was short lived. I run DLR's on most things I drive and there's only one plate (rear) for DLR tags.

send me a print, spec the material and I will have one made for you.

Dealer drilled 1/2" holes in my bumper. Arseholes, I told them not to; they stated they had to. I bought color matched plugs which literally fell through the monster sized holes. Luckily  I had a fender bender last year and the body shop honored my request to not drill holes in the replacement fascia.

Couldn't you just buy Vinyl sticker paper and print your own?
If the sticker adhesive on the back wasn't sufficient, you could use velcro.

What's wrong with you people? You get a nice stamped aluminum plate - put it on!
Not happening.

Pic of wife's car. I too had to plug the poorly drilled holes.

The Mrs. got one last week too. She was in a metered spot with time left when she returned. I think her decision is she is not going back to the City again. $170 bux and if you show proof of the fix you get $10 back. Fix it tickets are not like they use to be.
The shit I got was AFTER metered parking times. This is clearly an intentional cash grab by the City during a budget crisis.

Well, with all of that potential $$$$$ just sitting on the streets waiting to be ticketed, would you expect anything else? :laughing

Enforcing laws = cash grab. SMH  :laughing

What can we do if MTA the carts are zealous nowadays :dunno
(Sitting on a $108 ticket because of a non-existent Google bus, myself :mad)

You should know BTW, that, The Internet by now has people who boast that they walk around neighborhoods and call/app the SFMTA for any infractions they see on..parked cars. !!!

Not happening.
