*Liam's Wild Ride*

MotoGP at Laguna once again was a great event. Only regret is that I wasn't able to meet and shake hands with my fellow local boy. Much respect Braddah. :cool

ps - I noticed you are a contributer in the latest Road Racer X. Congrats again Brah.

My add-to-the-mix Liam in the pits shot. :teeth

I had wanted to take out some of my team to a nicer place (than Denny's) since we'd been in California. While the Stinking Rose was decidedly a step up, the service wasn't up to par, or rather, I would just say that the man was rude and unpleasant. Nonetheless, the food was good, and everyone had some serious Garlic Breath as we headed out to Pink, a euro-trashy nightclub in the Mission. Everyone was propositioned for spare change and more, and it was a fun night managing everything and everyone, including those who left the fiesta to go sleep in the van! Tonight? We're off to one of my secret spots in the city - in the Richmond area - and I'm confident that it will be another fantastic night. Represented here at the table are over 50 years combined experience in Grand Prix racing, with the stories to make even a short talk informative and entertaining! Ahhhhh, one day I'll be an "old-timer".

We speak a hybrid mix of Spanish, Italian, and English, but mostly Spanish is used. This is a Spanish team with an Italian bike and an Italian Sponsor, but almost everyone is Spanish and based out of Madrid. One Chief Mechanic is French, one is Italian, and several of our data engineers are Italian. All the mechanics (basically, everyone else) are Spanish, with the exception of a Brazilian, an Argentinean, and now, a Hawaiian.

With all the running around I've been doing since the race, it's time to give thanks for the little things. Like having Rootbeer and Dr. Pepper! Try that overseas - It's like asking for medicine and posion at the same time!

One of the reasons I am sticking around in California is to take care of all the financial screw-ups that have come up because of my lost wallet and credit cards. On Thursday, I spent some time at Bank of America trying to get that sorted, and then it was off in search of a new wallet. Sure, I could have bought one in Europe, but I like spending money in the States and supporting the littler guys. For the last couple years I've pretty much gotten all my riding supplies from Paul G. at Motostrano , and this time was no exception. Man, I can't believe how much that place has grown, and how much product they actually have in stock! I was very, very happy to pick this up from the boys Thursday afternoon (thanks for holding it for me!). Best of all, I had the chance to hang out with some old friends (Paul and I used to race together years ago, and I've known Joe E. for years since we've both worked in RWC motorcycle shops for years) and just unwind and shoot the breeze a little bit.

Thanks MrsPeebles for whipping up a killer meal on short notice that night, too! I don't think I've eaten that much in one sitting in the last year, but it was worth it!

Super shout out to my newest friend, Kinley! If you thought bouncing around the world and working with motorcycles was hard, then you still have a bit to learn. It's not only hard, it's also extremely rewarding and tons of fun. Everything is what you put into it, and I'm hoping this little one will grow up to be fearless and kick ass, too. Ok - time to get back to work before heading off to Hawkgirl's MotoGP replay tonight at 8PM. I expect to spend most of Saturday riding around, so see you on the road! Sunday is the SM Hooligans trackday (yeah!) and then I'm going to try and make the Wednesday night Pig and Whistle meet and then the Thursday Fremont meet. Come pick up your shirts people!

ThanX for the Power link Liam. I shall use it only for good purposes. You made my week with that. ThanX for the T and stickers. If I get that belly pan, that's where 2 of them are going, one on each side. Don't forget to write that book in a couple of years, I could see you doing it. Keep up the good work. You Rock!

Is that a 'Moto liam' sticker on the swing arm just below the Afam sticker? :wow How would that have gotten there?

Would I be right in guessing it is run from either the front brake or a thumb lever due to injury or a heavy foot. It makes no sense to carry the rotor or caliper if they are not connected unless some rule stipulates that they be fitted and if it did i would expect that same rule would specify that they work.

Even thought some riders say they dont use the rear brake i find it useful to change the direction of the bike from time to time.:nerd
