NFL 2021

:laughing Oh you mean the Shitbirds got rid of Wentz.

Well, it seems that the projections for a 3 win Season have to do with them counting on Jalen Hurts and not taking any other action to shore up the QB position. I think Philly is the only outfit in the NFL that believes in that guy.

If I was them I would at least try and capture the Ghost of RGIII to compete with Nick Mullens for next man up, but what is happening behind the scenes is that Philly has Salary Cap Managed themselves into a hellish spot where they have both no money and very little talent on the current roster.

Fletcher Cox is one of the only guys with any talent on the roster and this pretty much looks like a lost year for Philly, so if I was them, I would get would I could for Cox in a trade so they can get back to drafting for their rebuild next year.

Wentz signed with the colts, he has a foot injury as of Friday and is out... indefinitely. The Eagles look pretty smart at this point.

I mean, not really. Keeping Wentz instead of Nick Foles has long been a baffling and bizarre series of mistakes for them. Wentz was never the guy, the only reason they sent him to Indy, is because he would have put them over the Salary Cap this year.

Surely, Indy is a pack of idiots for taking him at the cost of a 3rd rounder, but that $128m contract the Eagles signed him to 2 years was a shocking act of stupidity.

What is mind boggling to me is that Philly had Foles come save them from Wentz a bloody SECOND TIME and STILL went with the wrong guy. It is seriously baffling to me.

I was just reading on ESPN about Wentz and his injury and the article stated something about the Colts maybe trading for Foles because Reich was his coach at one time. How funny would that be.... Wentz is hurt Foles comes in and tears it up and Wentz sits on the bench once he is healed up thinking WTF didn't this just happen to me...deja vu ......:rofl

I have my fingers crossed so ahrd that this goes down. I'm dying here.

:laughing Then the Colts will let Foles go after he gets their team into the Post Season, and extend Wentz at top dollar who will then go out injured again.

I figure Wentz must just continue to giggle his way to the bank every day, but Foles must be losing his fucking mind.

:laughing

You know when Foles was on the Eagles he did really well as Wentz's backup you know with the post season runs and all but when he moved teams it just didn't seem like he had it to be the man. I wonder if there is some kind of weird chemistry there... Together they make one whole starter but apart they are just backups....Been trying to think of a literary or theatrical comparison but am at a loss.

The common denominator may be Frank Reich. :dunno

Both Wentz and Foles were successful under Reich. Neither has been as successful without him.

That's actually a great point, might be the answer. Although Wentz was never really successful because he is made out of cotton candy.

So then my scenario of Wentz being benched and replaced by Foles again is still in play. YES!!!!!!!!!!!! I wonder if there is a bookie somewhere who would take this bet.....

The colts have been adamant that they are going to stick with their current backup and are not going to bring in Foles.

I just saw that another Giants OL retired today. Not sure if this was just a late report or if they really lost 3 this year so far....

Haven't heard that yet, but if it's true, the bottom of the NFC is going to be a cesspool of red white and blue. I'm sure Eldritch will let us know right quick.

Nah, dude, it was Joe Looney, I don't think he ever even wore a uniform. We signed him to a cheap contract, we went to like one camp work out, and then retired after 5 days. The other guys was Zach Fulton, who also I think never wore a jersey. Both these guys were signed very briefly as Free Agents and very quickly decided they did not want to work that hard. :laughing

Apparently Joe Judge is bringing back the Coughlin style, "Pure Brutality," training camps. Which often rub veterans the wrong way, guys who feel like they should not have to train that hard, but we don't really lose anything by losing those guys.

I haven't lost ope for the O-Line yet, it is still early in camp and Lemieux's Knee injury is not declared a serious season impacting problem yet and even if it is, we can plug Hernandez in at LG and he should do fine.

The O-line is still our biggest question mark, but I haven't lost hope for it this year yet.

Meanwhile, it might be a good value bet Joe Judge will be the first coach fired this year.

No, that would be shocking, i wouldn't take that bet AT ALL. Dave Gettleman will be gone at the end of the season if this draft doesn't work out for him, but the team showed improvement in the first year of Judge's tenure and the general consensus is that his season last year was a real start of Blue turning it back into the right direction.

All Blue has to do this year to not get anyone fired is 8-8, but if Daniel Jones doesn't perform, he will be replaced in next years draft. Since he is Gettleman's guy, I suspect Gettleman will go with him if it goes down that way.

Tray area lance first td, everyone going crazy.

but that was all receiver, he shook his 1st defender and crossed the safety at a angle that he couldnt catch/break into.

The ball was put in the perfect spot. Not to mention he hit three in the hands and they dropped them.
