NFL 2021

Whole lot of riding Eli to make up for a bunch of shit, but you're not wrong.

No way, Eli was the last big thing Accorsi did, but he picked Osi Umenyiora, Justin Tuck, Chris Snee, Brandon Jacobs, Amani Toomer, so many guys that were critical to those Superbowl days and still hold team records for Blue today. I could go on about a bunch of players you guys have probably little heard of, but no point to bore you.

This team just need s a real GM that can pick winners out of the draft, like so many other teams that have been trying to rebuild for years and years.

+1, with Derrick Henry being the one and only exception...actually not really an exception because he was drafted in the 2nd round.

Remember when Mike Ditka traded his entire draft for Ricky Williams?

Those days are long gone in this league..................:wow

But then he got high?

that trade should have been a fireable offense for Ditka.

No I mean he literally should have been fired for A) announcing he'd give up his entire draft for Williams during the NFL Owners meetings, B) actually doing it to move up from 12 to 5, and C) also giving up a 1st and 3rd in 2000 that nobody really talks about because it wasn't part of "the entire draft" in 1999.

instead they let him go 3-13 and THEN leave. lol.

LOL, well, I reckon when you are in that Deep, you let homie play it out for the Season to see if he was right.

It isn't like the Aint's were any good at that time anyway right?

Until San Diego Keistered their own destiny and decided Drew Brees wasn't good enough for their franchise, NO had never really been shit, you know? They were a running joke like Tampa Bay.

I feel sorry for Ridley, our thread starter. Teddy B. doesn't have it in must win games.

In the last two games he tried to come back, but you’re 100% correct, he doesn’t have what it takes.

Any good QBs coming out of college next year…hold that thought we passed on two good prospects in the 2021 draft. I don’t expect anything different for the 2022 draft either.

Trust me, I’m not afraid to admit that my Donkeys SUCK. I don’t see any light at the end of the tunnel either. Oh well, I’ll keep rooting for the Broncos and enjoy a pretty damn good 2021 NFL season. As a graduate of a Wisconsin College, I’ve always got the Packers.

Congrats to the Raiders and a well played game. Actually, I give the Raiders their due respect because of the win in spite of what they are going through :thumbup

Great game last night. I really like to watch Josh Allen play. Tannehill always reminds me a bit of a guy who never really gets that good but he did well...
Bills coach squandered a win at end but I guess he figures they can afford a loss or two...

I don't think he squandered it at the end, his team had been doing well all night and he took a risk which is the same thing that would have happened in overtime. I saw that last play and I am not sure why the Bill's QB took that little hop right before he dug in to do the sneak, I think that is what cost them that yard as it allowed the D to get in and stop him. It was a pretty entertaining game.

Yeah, that was one instance where going for three made more sense. I get that the stats say fo for it there on strictly a game performance based on last night the Titans had already stoned the Bills three times inside the 5. Balancing stats with current game the choice should have been to play for the tie and hope for the ball first in OT. Even putting on the D to get a stop in OT seems like it was the better choice than going on 4th for the win.

I think they just had too much Derrick Henry. He only gets better as the clock winds down...Damn!

But srsly, you arent supposed to give up on scoring. You get the point, hope for the coin toss and play again. If you believe in your offense, which they certainly do, they had a chance. I guess if it was within their own division, maybe they would have moved forward. I had to look it up because I don't even think about most of the AFC conferences except western...

I was happy. My fantasy team had them most nasty knock down drag out and when the dust settled, the only player left still on the field was my Buffalo Bills kicker on Monday.

It is a high scoring league (over 300pts each in the game) and I won by less than 1 point after last night.

I am really enjoying the Bills and figured they'd win but was wrong....But it sure was a game worth watching throughout...

As a Niner fan, i am starved for nice long passes, that Allen can deliver....And like I said before, Tannehill played beyond himself from past years.

Raiders game was fun, too. Of course we endured the melodrama of Chucky's departure etc, but it was a good win.

I wonder, besides Carr, how many sad faces there are getting rid of that 'knock-knock" guy? I still wince when I think about that Hard Knocks episode where Chucky made grown-ass men knock twice on their table tops to show their team esprit d'corps. Maybe that's where all that bang-bang bullshit comes from that every single announcer has to sprinkle into the color commentary...

I'm glad you're happy, but I'm old school. I like terrorist Defense and Bone Jarring Runners.

Derrick Henry is my favorite player to watch right now since Brandon Jacobs was young.

Isn't there a thread for BS-ing about fantasy football ELSEWHERE?

:laughing

Nobody like him right now, that's for sure. That guy is inspiring to watch. They showed him doing his workout regimens during the broadcast...awesome.

He's definitely in my club of favorite league players.

And speaking of Bills and runners, I have been a bit disturbed seeing the HCs run their QBs too much. Yes, Allen is big but it makes me nervous seeing such talent pounding against D-lines. That's what Shanny did with Trey Lance last week with the famous results (where he got snuffed at goal line). With Jimmy G hurt (be he ever so humble), RISKY!

They have specialists for these things, not QBs.

Sorry, there are two running backs that sit atop the pile of bones created by RB who think they can truck everything in front of them: Earl Campbell and Skittles Lynch. Sure there are some other RB who’ve made the climb up the bone pile interesting: Riggo, King Henry, Franco, The Zonk.

Hell, Jacobs didn’t even make it up half way in my book.
Change my mind. :x
