NFL 2021

Flipping back to my musing that this season has been one of the best for watching the foozeball/hand-egg I queried the number of OT games so far: 10. It’s tied with the most in a single season and we aren’t even half way thru yet. Even tho my team is meh the rest of the games I’ve watched have been highly entertaining.

Missed field goals are kind of a thing this year thus far, too, which ties into OT.

LOL, no, what I am saying is that the Zeitgeist is the realm of the young. Anything more than 10 years old is historical, anything more than 20 years old is ancient legend, and anything more than 30 years old is an Archeological record.

This is a frequent point of confusion I think for old Raiders fans who like to talk about when that team was good back in the 60's and 70's as if they were talking about something real and not some leather helmet Red Grange shit. :laughing

I am now at an age where the memories of my youth have passed into the realm of ancient archeological irrelevance, but I am fortunate in that I possess the self awareness to understand the dusty aged irrelevance of such old things.

The sad thing about most the Old Men Shouting at Clouds is that most of them don't even know how absurd they look. I may be an old man shouting at clouds sometimes, but when I do it, I know exactly what I am doing and how silly it is.

I only shout at dogs on what's left of my drought lawn. If too late, I scoop up the poo, fling it onto the street and shout at no one in particular and hope the right person drives over it, hoping it's not a moto-friend.
 
I gotta bunch of wild turkeys that roll thru every few days, their shits are as numerous as they are disgusting.... I yell at them, but when I go outside they think I'm out there to feed them.

YEah, that's bad. Black and liquidy. Can't scoop that stuff successfully. Where I work is filled with 'em. Some of them have actually gone into peoples houses when they left their sliders open. That'd do in a carpet real good.

Oh, and speaking of geezers shouting: I can verify that in the retirement community where I work, people think that deer, turkeys and geese "understand" car horns, because people honk at them when they are in the road. I always laugh at that.....

PS Mostly missed the game but was kind of pleased that the Browns won even without Maker Bayfield.

I watched the first half until my wife told me we could get Dune a day early…Browns won, good.
 
Maybe Mahomie needs to get back to being a QB and not do so many commercials; Derrick Henry had more passing touchdowns than the Chefs QB. :laughing
 
Mahomes got wrecked today. That o line is awful. Or it looked awful today.

And the Eagles are a dumpster fire.

Mahome's mom, not him. She (and his GF?) have been quite vocal on the twitterbook, even throwing some shade towards Chef's teammates, and he may want them to stop.... :laughing
