NFL 2021

Mahome's mom, not him. She (and his GF?) have been quite vocal on the twitterbook, even throwing some shade towards Chef's teammates, and he may want them to stop.... :laughing

BTW, cool how you keep reliving your team's glory days... :p

Just pointing out that even Defensive Players can be MVP.

Oh, was he a Giant, I must have forgot? :teeth

Adrian Peterson was MVP in 2012 for a more recent reference to a non-QB.

:dunno

I don't know how you dehype your Moms though, that has to be rough for dude.

"MOM, I am an MVP now, stop being mean to my friends!"

:laughing

:ride

91.2% completion...dayum that's gaudy

I mean, it really seems like removing the Gruden Factor meant everything doesn't it?

You know, in addition to being the #4 leader in Rushing Yards in NFL QB's, this is how much the poor bastard is trying to carry the Giants on his back this year.

Despite the surprise win today against one of the best Defenses in the NFL, my hope is that as this team continues to crumble through the season, I hope other teams will keep this in mind as Daniel Jones becomes a free agent, assuming he is not dead by the end of the season.

That One Handed Catch was serious. :laughing

:facepalm

Great play if you really don't like your quarterback... that hit ain't add to Jones' long term outlook in his career....

How did the 9ers lose to a "dome team" led by Carson Wentz in terrible conditions? (Serious question, I watched the Warriors game... :laughing)

Like I said, ASSUMING HE IS NOT DEAD. A team that needs a great guy with huge athletic talent cold be in for a bargain next year. :laughing

I honestly feel bad for the kid.

now that you mention it, Gannon set an NFL record the year after Gruden left with 21 consecutive completions. Now Carr just had the 2nd best completion % ever (min. 30 attempts, Brees with 96%).

I think some of it may be by simplifying the formations and playbook. This has certainly helped the o-line, as Carr only got hit twice with no sacks vs Philly.

congrats on the Giants win. Vegas will see them in 2 weeks in Jersey after a bye. Maybe big blue will still have a QB then, lol.

I don't know, The Chiefs got cornholed like a punk on laundry day at the penitentiary today. I suspect they are going to take their bruised ego out on my poor guys next week. The entire room of shambling corpses that is our offense may be completely destroyed by the time teh Raiders come to Joizey, but I am taking it week by week.

Would the Raiders consider letting DJ throw from behind some tackling dummies?

:laughing

You know, I tend to support the Niners as kind of a back up thing since SF has long been my home a lot more than NY, but last season I took some grim satisfaction when the Niners started with a couple of good games, the Niners fans shit talked my guys a lot early on, and then they collapsed and finished with the same record as the Giants at the end of the season. I suspect this year may be similar.

:)

might be worse.

They looked BAD tonight.

glad I brought 2 jackets. Soaked through one per half.

Don't flirt with me, I find that hard to imagine. I reckon with the 10 games my guys have left, I have 4 games in the NFC LEast, a game with the Bears and the 'Fins, all 6 of which I give my guys even odds.

So probably my best case scenario now is 5 more wins if I win 4 of those 6 even odds games and pull an upset off with one of the others. That is a 7-10 team, only marginally improved from last years 6-10.

The Niners have Grapp Back AND a sexy spry replacement if he goes fragile again. Hard for me to imagine they do WORSE than last year. They probably just forgot what weather is since it hasn't rained in NorCal in like 700 years.

You reckon if the Bears beat them next week, you are fucking doomed, but I expect they will bounce back pretty hard against those sad sacks.

Did you know there are real life people that think Montana is better than Brady?

600 regular season TD is really dumb

I was happy to see that fan give the 600th TD football back after Mike Evans handed it to him. Hopefully TB (the town or the person) hooked that man up big-time, because that football is worth $$$!

I never can call in to the radio shows when driving the car but I would like to text in a request to only talk about Warriors from about 715 to 745. I just don't wanna hear about Niners anymore.

Fail, fail, fail. Something has to change. Shanny's scripted calls were beautiful, worked great on first drive. Then it was a shitstorm, rain or not. Whose fault? Is it the offensive coordinator? I don't get it. They looked fantastic in first drive, with not a single third down play. Minutes later, they couldn't convert a third down for almost the rest of the game. And whatever spat is keeping Aiyuk running for nothing is just unknowable.

We gave up somewhere at beginning of the fourth and just went over to Dubs and stayed there, except the occasional glimpse of carnage.

Mind you: we were in all day yesterday. I watched Ryan FuckinTannehill beat Mahomes, and Derek Long Ball Carr play like actual quarterbacks in the N.F.L.
Oh, how I envy having a team that can actually play offense.

Our rushing defense remains pretty damn solid but the secondary has a rule: if the ball goes in the air, tackle yer guy before it lands. The yellow flags were just....oh...forget it.

BTW, who's 5-2?

The RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIIIDUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUHHHHHZZZZ!!!!

I felt like I was in the Twilight Zone. The game was unreal.

In a good way mind you.

Raiders have a bye this coming week so let's hope they don't get in their own way mentally.

EDIT: Looking at the Raiders' schedule, I think they can legit win at least 10 games this year.

It really was fun to see the fortunes turn their way. And like I said before, relative to the Niner collapse in the rain, it was nice to see a competent QB.
And without Waller!!

So is Kyler Murray the real deal? I remember when he took the offer over the A's deal he had, he was making a big mistake. He sure proved me wrong..

I can't believe that one of the very few Niners games I get to watch was such a cluster F*&k. Crappolo loved throwing into traffic. One good series that I saw and they couldn't do it again. So disappointed.

Right. Those first ten scripted plays, which is something even Bill Walsh did, usually are pretty impressive, interesting and disarming to most opposing defenses. After that, they start calling plays situationally, and well, you saw what happened.

Sure the rain didn't help. But it also didn't prevent the other guys from getting 30 points.

Re Kyler Murray: he's pretty good but still short. What's really impressive is how much talent Arizona has rounded up to help him. I see them going to the NFC Championship at least but who knows who gets hurt.
