NFL 2021

I have no idea what you're talking about here. On Kittle's fumble he got hit between the numbers in stride, then ran damn near halfway across the field and didn't fumble until he tried some weird jump hurdle nonsense between two defenders instead of lowering his shoulder and blowing up the DB.

The pass to Aiyuk was high but he needed to stay down instead of trying to somersault and get up and keep running. He got smashed by 3 defenders at once and the ball got knocked loose.

Also Jimmy didn't give up 31 points to Arizona's JV team.

Jimmy throws too high. Just look at past games. It was either last week or the one before where he threw three or four in a row out of reach. I'm starting to reminisce how Krapernick would just give up and throw it at the sidelines crews.

You can't get a rhythm going that way. Yes, Aiyuk got up when he should have stayed down and Kittle tried to hurtle but the point is, only fairly desperate play is required to catch his passes and that's a problem. Both Kittle and Aiyuk were desperate to make something more because of this seasonal failure and they never knew when they'd get another pass, decent or not.

It's a dumpster fire and nothing is going right. I have wanted so much to believe in Jimmy but I am resolute that he is the guy you hire to play QB in the movie, not for actual QB. He;'s lovable, handsome, confident, but incompetent in targeting, which seems like a fairly important skill. My guess is that its kind of the yips, where he's accurate in practice but not in games.

OK so you still didn't watch the play. Got it.

Yes I did. But only the first half of the game. My cable box froze right about halftime, had to be re-set and threw away all my stuff so I missed second half. I was watching on delay to begin with. Once they got up to 14, I knew the game was feeling that familiar suck though. It just kills me. Colt McFuckingMcCoy. They got three first downs in a row I think only to blow it in the red zone. Jaysus. So characteristic, to get your hopes up then crap their pants. What a waste. What's also truly strange is their third down play. They either chew up the field on 1st and 2nd downs or die on the third.

Furthermore, for all the hustle Aiyuk and Kittle showed, I did see Jimmy run the clock down (likely on Kyle's orders) at 2 minute warning. Way to have a sense of urgency. Let's just give up now and we'll come back more organized. And maybe we'll get an encroachment to buy some more downs to squander. Hut-HUT-hut..... NO chance they could surprise the defense on a fast play, I guess they don't practice those.. Snert. Some guy on the radio was joking that it took them 5 minutes to run a two minute offense. I'm glad I missed second half, but on my watching schedule yesterday, Dubs were starting anyway at 5:30. Saved me some time after a day of unpleasant home improvement.

Yeah, I watched it, but am trying to see the bigger picture about their dysfunction. We all know they should be a better team.

Based on the press Mac Jones is getting about, "Dirty Play," that injured that Carolina dude, I am assuming he will be murdered by the end of the season from other defenders taking out his knees on purpose.

I didn't watch the game but was it a dirty play? When I read the article is sounded like Mac got stripped and was on the ground and maybe he reached out to grab the guys ankles to stop him from running. Seems like a totally normal reaction to a fumble and seems like a defender making a big deal about nothing because I mean come on how strong is that QBs hand strength that he is going to hobble a guy by grabbing his ankles? I mean defenders take shots at knees all day long and don't get penalized for it.

I don't think it really matters that much. What matters is the perception. Defenders don't try and intentionally hurt guys very often. You get the occasional dirty bastard in there, but you play D because you are legally allowed to inflict the pain.

If the perception gets out this guy does dirty tricks to hurt defenders. Somebody having a rough day with the o-line is going to get some, "payback" even if it isn't real.

I just saw the clip. Dirty, dirty, dirty. Ya think he makes it 3 games until he's toast?

Hand strength? More like stop, drop, and roll.

Holy shit. That is like a full blown MMA takedown.

I don't know how many games, you figure it has to be the right guy in the right moment feeling the right kind of emotions, but the video there is pretty damning.

Brian Burns is not being quiet about what was done to him either, and apparently his older brother was a DE in like 2006, so he sounds pretty connected with other ball players.

I would start looking for other front 7 guys on their schedule who went to Florida State at the same time or somebody who is his cousin or something that is taking shit personally.

It didn't look that bad until the last second when Jones either twists or is forced to twist with burns trying to do some kind of judo flip there to land on the opposite side. If he would have fallen straight back on his ass I think it would have been better but after watching that video a few times it looks like Jones rolled to that side

It looks like it? Dude, Mac body rolled that ankle.

yeah but the defender didn't do himself any favors by trying to do some spin move/karate move and twist himself all up. From what I saw jones had his grip around the ankle and just moved around, the dude he grabbed did more damage by trying to do that awkward spin move.

Thoughts?

The only awkward spin move I saw was a result of his foot being planted and reversed direction by an opposing force.

Can we blame Gruden? :laughing

Sure, if you want. Mike Mayock has to be blamed as well. His 18-years of real estate experience and then analyst (mostly college games) makes him well qualified for a GM role.:laughing I mean, he was working with a coach who as analyst too for 9 years basically watching the NFL evolve before his eyes and then not being able to adapt. :laughing

I've been a Raider fan my whole life and I've seen some shit. :laughing

Mayock gets a free pass from me for having to work under Gruden's ESPN inflated ego driven dictatorship, unless there's proof to the contrary. He was one of the best draft prognosticators prior to his Raiders tenure. I don't think he's had a fair shot.
