Official BARF BEER Crew

:thumbup
just came back from there. before now, I actually never had anything from 21st that I liked. but a friend wanted to go, and he was driving so screw it. Now I'm a fan of their...fuck...what was it called? uhhh. pastry mix? tasty pastry? I can't believe I fucking forgot. it was a red IPA. quite good.

they have a lot of room at that facility. nice place

not much of a fan of the big crowds anymore though. I even just told my buddy who goes with me to Drake's first Fridays that I'm done with that scene. it's just much more enjoyable without so many people around. IMO

:Port
I heard there was a big crowd at 21st on Saturday. It was expected because it was their "Grand Opening" even though the place is totally not done yet(temporary bar, porto bathrooms, restaurant not done)... Sunday was cool, barley any people. I tried that Tasty Pastry, they should serve a side of pop tart with it. ;)

have that on tap right now, and am alternating between that and aroma coma bombers. after a night of indulging, I cap it off with this raspberry cider I brewed for my wife, that turned out very tasty.

:thumbup
Nice! That aroma therapy they had was really good. I want more!

I am eagerly looking forward to that weekend. :Port
Same here. I have a friend that lives in Sac, so I am going to get drunk as fuck.

Sounds like a good deal for Firestone. They make fantastic beers, and being able to expand will only help them out.

Still don't get the appeal of sour beers. I guess they're just not for me.
For sure, probably see them on the east coast now. Just try a taste of it now and again and you will get used to it. That's what I had to do with IPAs. I didn't like them at all, but now I love IPAs

I am currently on a kick for pale bocks. I had this great Andescher Bergbock in Berlin so now I'm seeing what I can get domestically. Actually, the Old Chico Pale Bock from SN is damn fine beer. It ain't cheap but is "on sale" at Raleys for 8.49 for six. So I'm kinda livin large, instead of the usual case of Lagunitas from Costco.

Putting the word out for my friends who are craft brewers:

Available on tap at City Beer Store in SF!

I'm considering going.

If y'all need another drinking buddy.

Oh, we should definitely try to do a Sac BARF Beer Gathering. I assume I'll have time, in spite of trying to get a couple meetings in during the conference. Who'all's in? :Port

Out of curiosity, has anyone out there been to the Magnolia Brewery? Just curious as to the beer, as well as the decor.

I booked a hotel within staggering distance. :teeth
Is that where the after party is going to be at? ;)

I'm down to meet out there to say what's up.

I been to their brewery in San Francisco. It's british style beers. So the IBUs are low and smoother pale ales and IPAs. They have a good German Kosch right now. They got an awesome selection of Charcuterie which goes great with beer.

Any of you guys have that Untapped app?

Sounds like my kinda place. I'm going to have to get down there to check the place out sometime soon.

Yeah, but being old, and unhip, I've not bothered to figure out how to use it as it's not all that 'intuitive' to me. :afm199

California Craft Beer Summit in Sacramento. There was 150 breweries all from California. Got to taste a lot of beer from SoCal.

The Special Pour from Firestone Walker was a single barrel of stout they age and never release in the public. Tasted fantastic.
