A bad situation for sure..
but not unnavoidable. She commited to the course of action that applied best during the first part of the situation but didn't re-evaluate and adjust when he came more than 45 degrees around.
Beyond 45 degrees the situation had evolved to where a course towards the left (hard counter steering) would have been a better response but she stayed with her initial action.
In fluid situations like that you have to re-evaluate many times over and adjust according to each evaluation which can be done seamlessly if you stay fluid.
oh ya and btw fuckface, this is what she had to say
"Thank you for sticking up for me - this is the kind of Sheit that I was worried about. People starting to make up weird stories about what happened. That's why I need your guy's help to help me keep track of all these link and where else it's posted. I have no illusions that I can keep control...but I can try to minimize any potential damage.
So far, I've seen comments about how:
1. I didn't react and basically just let the car hit me.
2. I reacted wrong and should have gone left instead of right
3. I was wrong for being in the center of the lane instead of to one side or the other
4. I should have braked instead of turning
5. I didn't brake or turn
6. I staged the whole thing to scam my insurance company
...there is prolly a lot more.
I'm trying to only respond from here. As you guys know, my personal website is *EDIT* - but it's meant to be a personal, small site - it's not equipped to handle such bandwith - and it's not for strangers. So whatever questions people have, they can contact me through here...any questions, I will address through here. If I didn't address your question, please U2U me or post again - I prolly just didn't see it.
