All of the information signs on the freeways down here are telling folks to not ignore road closure signs.

This person decided to drive around the barricades and signs on Corral Hollow...
:laughing

Wildcat Canyon Road, just west of San Pablo Dam Road as you climb towards Tilden Park has had a lane wash out. There is a signal controlling one way traffic on the remaining lane. It looks like it will take quite a while to repair. It's big.

Like K^2 said on the 5th, Mines is open with a lot of water, gravel and mud! Del Puerto Canyon is a breeze! Just a couple of spots with gravel.

still bad section near mile marker 16 ( i think)

At the County line. I have been riding this road for years during the winter and never remember having water like this at this spot!

Woah, did you ride through it? I'd have certainly hesitated, I think I've gone through about a foot deep water crossing on my Hyper and that seemed good enough.

Yeah, it was moving pretty good but only about 9-10" deep on the left side! If there were rocks in there i think I would have turned around!! I have been down a few times in water crossings (on dirt bikes) and it is no fun!!

Damn... water crossing!

Loved them in the days gone by on a dirt bike, but wary now for sure. :laughing

84 from La Honda to Skyline has been closed since Tuesday's storm. No word on when it will be re-opened, a lot power lines and poles went down, and PG&E is still chipping away at it.

Pretty major way for the locals to get to the valley.

Bummer for them.

So true. Taking 92 to 1 in the afternoon was not fun in the slightest. I don't know how people that take 92 everyday can stand it, it's beyond slow.

Upside, 84 from 1 to Skyline is open! Be careful though, there's quite a few muddy spots, and there's likely to be traffic controls in the near future, as there's still messes to be cleaned up, and utility lines still laying on the side of the road, mainly near La Honda.

Heading out on a road trip down south (San Diego-ish) with a few buddies this Friday and I really not sure what the route it going to look like with so many good roads closed, all I know is, they better not try to drag me into I-5.

Just rode back from Death Valley yesterday. On the way down we took Airline out of Hollister and it was great. Peachtree was closed though at 198, so only option was go West to 101. 58 was closed West of McKittrick (still), and 178 was closed, too, so all we could do was drop down to 166 and head across.

The good news is 178 was open for our ride home yesterday - was fine, although I ran into a Harley guy at a diner in Lake Isabella who had a broken foot. He showed us a video on his phone he took of a huge rockslide in Kern Canyon that took him out - in his car, which was totalled. Be careful out there. All the wet has made things shifty.

I wish we had checked Hwy 58 conditions before we left Paso last Friday AM, but did we ..... ?

We didn't, because we're dumbasses. But we got to see some great wildflower bloom backtracking to Hwy 46.
