Hmmm... Issues with that, maybe??
I, (NAME), do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God.
Are criminals supporting and defending the Constitution? Nope.
Therefore I have sworn to an obligation that requires me to obey the orders of my Commander in Chief and the orders of officers appointed over me (my chain of command, if you're not familiar with that term).
If they so determine that the safety of the law-abiding citizens are being endangered by the criminal element, and they draw up a plan to ensure the safety of those citizens, it's my sworn duty to follow those lawful orders.
Does it mean that I'm going in solo, gun(s) blazing? Hell, no. And I think you think the worst of me, for which I pity you.
Because you DON'T know me, you're making extremely wild assumptions about me. Which doesn't make YOU seem very rational.
But enough about you...
