The Home Grower's Thread

Might get over 1 lb from the whole tent if that dry rate holds

It's usually 10% IIRC for flowers to smoke, but you're making edibles right? I could tell from your pics there's a lot going on in that small space. The best I ever did was 1oz per ft2 with HID+CO2.

shit honestly you lose like 50-70% of weight ones its all dry. Those buds are fat though. Im going to have to swing by with some fresh nug run shatter and have a smoke out!!

I have a few friends that have closed loop systems.. They cost FUCKING BREAD!!! 50-200k from what ive seen for the proper setups.

If they have them in an industrial park or warehouse good for them. If your kicking in doors to run one, well eat a bag of dicks.

Warehouse setting for sure. Yeah those guys are shitty as fuck who are doing that.. Hopefully the cost of the equipment that got snatched is more then they have made in profit. Hopefully owner of property had good insurance as well.

I wonder if they just stalk places like air bnb and sites like those for rental properties that show when someone has booked it or if its vacant etc..

Don't these things have pressure relief valves, or is it an ignition thing?

Edit: Ignore me, I thought it blew up.

Holy shit. The Monster plant was 1 lb 2 oz wet trimmed weight.

Got a nice amount of trim + small buds for edibles building.

I've heard of some folks that want frozen uncured bud for making extracts.

Same as you guys, just give it away.

HH, you like the vape pen? Not sure to describe the high, other than 'incomplete'.

thats for "live resin" aka sauce

Ok being methodical I trimmed 6 plants over the weekend. First I'd do a trash trim with the larger fan leaves and undesirable plant material and a second close shave where I saved all the trim. The trim also includes some nice small nuggets and has like 6 varieties of weed in it and will make some crazy edibles or oils.

I put each plant in its own paper grocery bag to dry.

I still have 3 plants in week 11.

---

Side note when I was young if I saw this much weed I'd freak out but when you handle literally lbs of it you don't give a F.

I'm flying to Montreal on Friday, should I move all the bagged weed to glass jars for the week 2 I'm away or continue to let them dry in the bag?

They're drying in a bag? But, I wouldn't put drying bud in a jar, even with the lid off. If you're in the same position in the future, just cut the entire plant at the base and let it hang for a week or two while you're away. For this time, I'd probably just leave it be. It's always easier to rehydrate a little than deal with mold.

hell yeah 100% agree.

^ been happening for quite a while. Premium pricing is pretty much the domain of prohibition states.

Isn't that part of the intent with legalizing? Drive costs down to reduce the attractiveness to criminals?

How soon would you guys feed rooted clones? I've had them in solo cups for about 5 days and have watered a couple times. They're looking happy and are growing, so I know the roots are doing their thing. Sound okay to give a light feed?

Hold right on there buddy. You got roots? Show those suckers off! Gently pull the solo cup off while upside down, using your hand to support the soil.

Congrats on getting them rooted. Whether or not to feed depends on what the clone is now in - nutrient rich soil or still in inert rooting medium? Do you see any yellowing of the leaves at all? I avoid feeding clones in lieu of just transplanting into something like Ocean Forest soil, which will keep them happy for at least a week or two. Being wary of overfeeding like always, some folks like to cut their 'hot' potting soils like the ocean forest with something like Happy Frog. I feel like a shill lol, but FF has always done right by me, other than root aphids....but that's another story entirely.

Also, never underestimate mycorrhizae and the power of living soil organisms. Seriously.

Game changer for real.

Okay, took a pic. Better than I thought. They were moved to solo cups last Thursday and I used Happy Frog potting soil. I guess just keep watering them for now? Next goal is to get them into 0.62g pots when the roots are well established, maybe a week from now.

Quick story on the root aphids? A buddy thought he had aphid issues from FF too.
