The Official 2015/2016 NFL Thread

gawd I'd rather have the Raiders stay in their own shithole that at least retains a smidgeon of character, than have them move down to that sterile emotionless corporate money sinkhole in santa clara.

Would you rather they stay in the Bay Area than move to St.Louis or LA?

Is it the least profitable deal option for the Raiders? I'm have no idea how the revenue sharing on a stadium is done. I know its in Santa Clara's best interest to have two NFL teams using that stadium.

Assuming it is based on the old Giants/Jets model, the Niners would get a share and essenitally be the landlord, this of course puts them at a disadvantage over having their own ball park or say, being equal partners in a park with the Rams in L.A., which is also a bigger market.

I'm a Raiders fan, not an Oakland fan if that makes any sense. that said, I'd rather they get a new stadium in Oakland than move, in case they ever do get better and I feel like going to a game again. sure, It wouldn't be the end of the world if they moved into santa clara. having not been inside the new stadium, from the outside I honestly don't see much difference between it and the coliseum. both large concrete behemoths, really. at least the old one has good BART access. I wouldn't hang around either stadium after the game... for different reasons though.

Less raw sewage on the field in San Jose?

I understand. But there are degrees of like/dislike. For example: I imagine you'd prefer they not be the first team to move to London.

Knock it the fuck off. You suck ass as the straight-man.:twofinger

I could see the Raiders in Santa Clara a season or two while the Coluseum is bulldozed and a new one is built. The sharing arrangement with the A's complicates things since the Coluseum can't go until they have a home too.

Well played, sir. Well played.:thumbup

Can we now go back to talking about how there was raw sewage all over the coliseum? When that happened during the A's game, I KNEW that woul dbe Raiders/A's trash talk gold for YEARS to come. :laughing

Consequently though, since Fred brought it up, the A's are really dedicated to the idea of building a new Ball Park in San Jose if they ever get permission from MLB, wouldn't the Raiders like to continue to share with their buddies...

I don't think so. It's time to give up the old dirt infield during football games. The NFL just makes too much money for that kind of shit now-a-days. Maybe a dual facility with separate fields but baseball/football sharing the same stadium needs to come to an end.

pssh it wasn't all over the field! it was in the visiting team's shower/locker room, which sounds more like a competitive advantage more than anything.

A's/Raiders is the only stadium share left in all of the NFL and MLB.

Possible. There is a lot of stink that Amari Cooper might go to the Raiders too. I think they are trying to load Carr the fuck up.

Crabtree is a load alright...the type that leaves a residue best wiped away with toilet paper.

I dunno. He might be the fresh start dood, that does better elsewhere. As a Niner, his lack of chemistry with Kaep has been painful.
