Rolls with it...
He was a thug before
... he wanted to be "thuggier"?
He was a thug before
well, yeah sure haha but that's not really my point. He can be a force for Oakland but he's giving me a sense the he'll come in and act like a spoiled brat. He expected to get paid big time in free agency by some team desperate for his services, and he got crickets in return. So Oakland gives him a minimal-ish contract with some incentives and no guaranteed money. And why should they? he had like one or two good playoff games and a handful of productive regular season games. Yeah, I can see a diva like him being unhappy with the move.
But is that the way you act openly? No. You go out, thank the management of probably one of the only if not the only club to offer a contract, and you show the fans and the coach that you're chomping at the bit to come in and kick ass and earn the contract you thought you were worth.
I am not getting that feeling from him though. I'm getting more of a Randy Moss vibe right now. Difference with Crabs is (besides massive talent difference), the Raiders can release his sorry ass in preseason and it won't cost them a dime. And whether he knows it or not, that will be the end of his big contract chances. So if I were him I'd check that attitude real quick.
His fortunes and his alone are in the balance. It'll be up to him whether he perseveres and succeeds, which will help him and Oakland, or buckles under the magnitude of his own petulance and suffers alone.
right now, I'm guessing it'll be the latter. but I'd like to be wrong.

Well, didn't he get a 1 year deal with da Town? Like 1/2 the contract is in incentives and it is a one year deal. If he is a serious pro talent, he has one year to show it. That should motivate him. If it doesn't, let him retire at 28.![]()
Boone calls Harbaugh 'clinically insane' lol...maybe it was time for him to leave.

"I think he's a better college coach than he would be as an NFL coach," Boone told HBO. "It's different for college kids than pro players. I don't think college kids can say, 'Hey, Jim, you're pissing me off today.'"
I actually think that makes a lot of sense. College kids are gone in 4 years.
I remember those were the kind of grumblings that a few writers hinted at that were being dismissed by fans as the 9ers were still winning games after the Super Bowl loss, you know, the "unnamed sources" that complained about not being treated like professionals.
Well, realistically -- and I've posted it in here as well -- Harbaugh hasn't lasted more than 4 years in ANY coaching job he's had.

<cough> Part of being a professional is doing what you're told. Even if you disagree with it. The bigger issue was the struggle the FO.

It's funny, I just happened to be zipping by Channel 4 and Radnitch mentioned that this report was coming on tha teevee so I watched it last night. Ol Gary made fun of Gumbel ("you can all watch Briant Gumble cross his legs" )and pointed out that hey, if a guy wants to get on HBO to say something outspoken like Boone did. It was the perfect prep to watch the story. I know some make fun of Radnich, but he's a homer thru and thru and he called bs perfectly. It was pretty much a non-story, especially compared to the next story about "dippin'" and then the lament of the loss of Afr-Ams in baseball.
