he still has alshon jeffery in a contract year, martellus bennet, matt forte can catch out of the backfield. and once healthy, their 1st round draft pick Kevin White. so yeah, he still has a ton of weapons. I still can't quite figure out why it didn't pan out for them last year.

Scratch White off the list for the first 6 games. Doubtful he makes any impact this season at all given how far behind he'll be in the learning curve when he finally does suit up
 
Damn everybody is piling on Raiders' RB Trent Richardson after this one play from a worthless preseason game. Sure it looks bad as an outsider, but we dunno if coach was like "do not deviate from your assigned target" or what. If coach harped on running the play to the right, it was going right. And NFL speed is far different than normal human speed, these guys just don't have time to think.

Still, it's funny.

I hope he improves and contributes... if he doesn't do well with the Raiders this year his next stop is somewhere between "Could've Been" and "Obscurity"...

You have to have an offense that produces in order to get into a shootout. It's preseason but the Giant's first team O looked horrid.

There's no such thing as that in pro football. The most important attribute of a pro caliber running back is his field vision to see the hole and his ability (speed) to hit it. Lots of great college backs fail in the pros for this very reason. They either don't see the field well/quick enough or don't have the speed off their cut to get through the hole. While I agree that it's only one play, there's no excuse for missing that hole other than TR made a bad play.

Hopefully he learns from it by watching the film. Sometimes being embarrassed like that precipitates a change.

Of course, easy things for me to say from here, I would get broken in half on an NFL field. :laughing

They've got talent at the skill positions, but man that offensive line is garbage.

Yeah, it is a trainwreck on Defense. We may be shooting for most injured team in the NFL, third year running.

not only that, but the healthy guys want to blow their hands off. if they put JPP out there, they won't even have 110 fingers on the field (unless they sign some Pennsylvania Amish to make up the diff).
