Walking Dead season 5

How do you think the writers meeting went when it came time to shoot the scene where everyone was eating dog meat? "For the love of god, DO NOT show Glen eating dog!" :laughing

Great episode overall. We definitely got to see a different side of the group.

haha... my first thought was "just pretend its cat Glen!" haha

Damn you westie!

I just saw this on Yahoo too, not going to click it, I don't really want to know why they know he's gay, or why it's important to the story.

Maybe that's how he knows Rick? Mancrush... :sex

I think the problem with eating walkers, is most have rotten flesh. Dogs won't eat rotten meat, so I doubt the dogs are surviving off walkers.

It's also not been made clear if eating a bitten person kills you. It seems possible, since the bite likely kills you due to bacteria. But I wonder if cooking the meat kills the bacteria. The caninals didn't live long enough for us to find out if they'd succumb to eating a bitten person.

On an episode of "The Talking Dead" earlier this winter, show creator Robert Kirkman teased that a gay character from the comics would be appearing on the show in the back half of Season 5, prompting speculation that the role would indeed be Aaron.

not really a spoiler here... it was discussed.

I am glad I have not read the comics. I really want to but I feel like it would ruin the show for me

The dogs are eating game, remember the chewed up rabbit Daryl found?

I don't think reading the comics spoils the show too much. There are a few HUGE differences. One being that in the comic, Andrea is a badass, is still alive, and her and Rick are a couple. But then there are also things/character points that, on the show, haven't happened yet and might not happen at all.

This. So much this.

I do not regret reading the comics and look forward to a monthly fix just as much as the show. Sometimes more since the show doesn't run year round.

Thank god I heard they are going back to 2 a month I think to get some distance between the comic and the show.

Yes, Aaron is gay in the comic.

Already playing out slightly different than the comic. A lot more exciting than last week though and only a quarter way through.

Rick is a gay basher

unless his gaydar is super sayan like strong, he didn't know he was gay when he punched him:twofinger

i am not happy with the choice to go there:thumbdown i understand the need for the chance of some security, but not just goin right on in like that. also, where the fuck are all of the residents? the previews showed nothing!

I think that Rick is wrong. Who can blame him, after nearly being put on the barbie at terminus. These guys seem ok, and besides, they have Musicals on fridays!!

Gay people are all friendly and kind, and they give you candy if you sleep over!!

I think that Rick is wrong.!

as Carol said... You were wrong, but you were right

Great episode... really interesting interactions between Rick and A-A-Ron. I dont blame Rick for being super cautious, but I think there might of been a better way to go about confirming with him the truth.

Preview for next week did a good job creating doubt about the safety factor of Alexandria... interesting

Driving at night was nuts!! Going down the "incorrect" road and running into the large # of Walkers was proof of that.

Yes, there were better ways of checking the place out, it seems that they should be doing more recon, ala Terminus, and not just walk up to the front gate. Rick did bury a gun outside, but it seems like a 1/2 measure.

I agree, theres plenty of ways to do recon without just walking up to the front. Terminus seemed nice and ok from the outside, but they ended up just slaughtering humans for food (I think?).

The only scenario where the Alexandria team would end up being good guys is if a 3rd group, which is "bad", is introduced; leading Ricks crew and the Alexandria crew to fight off the bad guys. I don't see that happening though. There's always an antagonist group, and I think trouble lies ahead in Alexandria.
