Walking Dead season 5

My prediction? Rick's gonna get some.

My prediction? Rick's gonna get some.

Yep, that's gonna cause some trouble.

Funny to see the husband obviously disgruntled out on the front porch. He's not only alive but got water, food, and power, and he's unhappy. Good commentary on humans in general, or Americans in particular.

Daryl not going to fit in, so what happens? Does he not pass the entrance exam, and the group has to decide to stay without him or leave with him?

I thought that he had developed a bit past this angry redneck stage, opened up a little bit more. I think Carol and her sensible slacks is going to have to help him through this.

I bet he's dealing with issues regarding Rick being a cop again.

where is the architect husband of the congresswoman?

how they survive so long with those hot heads

how they survive so long with those hot heads

Does seem a bit off that those two were such weekend warrior types. They've had enough time to realize how bad things are, at least outside their walls.

Likewise, with all to be done, how do these kids have time for video games. Especially when now you can kill real zombies, not digital ones.

I think it's more that Daryl sees it as the type of community where he's never fit in, and doesn't want to.

This. Its funny but the air was something was weird the whole episode. Rick's quote at the end was the best."We'll just take it."

This!!!

They aren't the 'just survivors' they started out to be, they've evolved but still have that one shred of humanity that makes them different from the Governor & Terminus people. But don't fuck with them :laughing

Yeah but they may have been out there for too long, like Glenn said (well, he said they were almost out there too long). Maybe they were out there too long and they can't come back. Maybe they do take this place from them.

Well they clearly think they do need Rick's group so maybe there is a threat they are looking to handle. The place certainly seems like it could be better protected.

She did say she exiled three people. I wonder if he was one of them? Maybe her idiot son got the dad killed on a supply run? :laughing

Has anyone seen Gabriel since they got there? He hasn't been in a single shot as far as I can tell.

I think the girl probably did take the gun. I don't think she is shady though. The blender gun is odd. They make it seem like it is so close to the city, but they were broken down pretty far away when Rick stashed it. Both he and Carl walked there?

It seems like they are introducing the towns people slowly, we have only met a few, and only seen a few, but didn't Aaron say they had 40 something?

Rick is going to bang his barber. Her Husband is a tool and will be a problem that will be dealt with- then Rick can bang away.
Darryl gutting the critter on that beautiful porch was epic. It shows that his disdain for that type of community. Carroll is playing possum. I wonder what role they will give to Michone?

I love Glenn even more now. This show is finally picking up some steam.

Michone is a cop with Rick... Which Daryl was not very happy about. I think it is more of him feeling over looked. His issues with cops aside

The video interviews are a great tool for character reflection.

The trick for the director and writers is to reveal what the characters are thinking in a natural way so the fourth wall is not broken. The other challenge is how to create deception between characters while keeping the audience mystified.

Carol's interview is the perfect example. She seemed so pleasant and helpless, but when she said how much she missed her wonderful husband who was abusive, it was a flashing warning to the fans that she is lying.

It is funny to see her dressed like a soccer mom talking with Daryl who hasnt even bathed.

I also like how Glenn is portrayed as a bad ass. Considering his last role was Sheldon's ex roommate (watch the pilot of Big Bang Theory!), I like how Glenn can handle himself in a fight. More importantly is how he has never deviated from the average Asian guy. From smart pizza delivery driver to being able to flee the prison with z's all around, he is not your typical tough guy.

Thank you 1Sicv8. I had a few drinks last night, so I was loopy while watching the show.

Exactly what I was going to say about Carol. If shit hits the fan those knobs won't know what she's going to do to them :thumbup

Cool piece of trivia. The walker, or crawler, from the garbage pile was Scott Ian of Anthrax. A huge WD fan.

really enjoyed this episode....

Carol was cracking me up. I think she is intentionally trying to look weak.

Daryl.... gutting the opossum on the front porch... classic

dont trust that young girl. I think shes the one who snagged Ricks blender gun

Guy on the front porch... could be trouble

Happy to see Glenn lay that dude out... what a bad ass Glenn has grown into. "no one's impressed, walk away" :thumbup

RIP Ricks Beard

They've all gone back to their own "regular" lives and I think what we're seeing (and why Darryl is upset) is the possibility that Rick's group will assimilate into the towns people. The Congresswoman is preying on Rick's groups desire to go back to their previous lives.

I think the kicker will be that Rick's group will find out that they cannot go back to their previous lives and learns this by their overreaction to the town (probably violent). That's my take....

Interesting, I see them all as fairly conscious (and maybe scared) they can't go back to their regular lives, but they are pretending, some better than others. Carol is playing a con so they don't understand how dangerous she is. She started right away.

Even Carl was like um ok let's play video games. Now I am jumping the fence and following this girl. I do wonder where she is going. Maybe she is giving info out to another group...

Rick may be too far gone, his first little bit on tape was people size you up to see what they can take, how they can use you to live. That is what he/his group is doing.

Others in the group see it, Michonne seems worried. Will there be some splits forming? Maybe the community life could split them up?

I think the altercation with Glenn is a foreshadowing, they wanted the experience this group has, and now...they have it. Although my guess is it going to mean some serious changes in the community.

I wonder where the girl is going too. I'm thinking a father/brother/sister/mother walker that she's taking care of, why else would she need the big backpack to go out. Doubt it's passing info.

I think Rick has gone so far to protect the family, that he's unwilling to let others protect it, "Why else would we be up at night".

I do see a split coming, whether it's those who want to stay vs go, or those who want to take over the community vs those who want to leave it in peace.

I don't trust the congresswoman though, there's a bigger plan going on with her somehow.
