I have no problem with BudBandit's threads. Some of you may get turned off by his style of writing but I've learned that if you post a well-written, informative, non-offensive thread on here, it gets cycled out of the main page pretty quickly.
So, it seems that the only way to keep a thread on the front page long enough for a large number of eyes to see it and to get heated discussion (any is better than none or very little) is to post in a manner that gets people worked up.
Maybe it's a sign of today's society that people have to resort to that kind of tactics, but if you look at elections for public office, people who just have a simple message and who don't attack their opponenents rarely ever get into office.
If you want to blame anybody blame yourselves (i.e. the majority of society) for responding better to negatives than positives and creating a situation where negative messages will always get better responses than positive messages.
BudBandit gets his point across and I'd be willing to bet that more than a couple people each season benefit from his threads, so for this he gets my thumbup.
Like him or hate him, his method does work.
