Why do people hate on budbandit so much?

Mike T said:
hms...im pretty peaceful with folks on BARF...and if they hate...i just call it :twofinger love :teeth

I find it very difficult to hate you. I barely know you and I wanna buy you some $40 knee guards.

It seems to me that there is just as much - or may be more- support for Budbandit as there is hating.

I don't see the purpose of this thread, and hate the fact that given its nature, and it being in the kitchen sink, it has a possiblity of becoming pretty nasty.

I really don't understand the purpose of this thread.

Faz, it's friday... The strange posts usually come out on fridays. I have some stuff up my sleeve as well. :flame

That wasn't directed at you hooli since you already know everyone here. It is for newbies.

not true, me and my buddy had a saturday off and i heard about budbandit's saturday ride at the STP. I had a mixed opinion about BB from his post, but the riders he talks about, i see all the time. Just last week at capitol starbux, this clown on a 600rr keeps on revving his shit like it was carburated, drops the clutch too fast and flies straight into a car. Luckily, he knew where the front brake was and saved it from hitting a nice mercedes. instantly, asshat/fucktard/homedawg came into my head.

but anyways, i showed up to his ride, i wasnt feeling a hundred percent and BB"s ride takes you through a shitload of goattrails. I decided to meet them back at Alices since i didnt wanna crash. BB understood that and welcomed me when he saw me again at alices. BB in person is nothing he is on barf. Not everything that comes out of his mouth is fucktard and asshat, he has a great sense of humor. Like someone else said, he looks like santa claus but in black leather and instead of 13 reindeers, he's on 150 horses.

ooh ooh!

can i guess?

prolly cause your posts make him work as a mod due to all the negativity that gets thrown around in your posts and pushes the TOS envelope!?

So do i win some kind of prize, Bap?

i like BB- he's fun to spar with, and has good comebacks. and he's not a asshole.

And he can take what he dishes out- which is worthy of respect.

No mod hat to remove.

You are correct, I don't care. Nor am I particularly curious as to why.

Not really, dealing with the stuff online comes with the job, what got me was the duplicity from the online persona, the hypocrisy, and the inability to take what is dished out :shrug

Let's leave it at that.

BB is the shock jock of Barf. One could argue that the few that do listen, are the ones that would have listened anyway if the delivery is less insulting. That the ones that are hard to get through, would be even be harder to get to since they'll feel like they are being insulted. BTW, I don't feel insulted as I don't fit into any of the model that he does his tirades on. Have to agree with Bap too in that he is hypocritical. Admonishes asshat actions, yet displays those actions and taunts the very people he is supposedly trying to help. This is in regards to his post regarding noob on a new 600RR who was trying to ride carefully, then wheelies at the intersection. True, technically he's never claimed to be The Expert, yet he preaches from his pulpit as if he does. Personally, I think he just likes the attention ;)

thanks for making this thread and thanks Valgar for the second reply with the hilarious comic! :D

i bet this thread was huge disappointment to everyone who subscribed. ha ha.

and since everyone's throwing in their 2 cents, personally i stopped listening to bb. he's boring, repedative, and way to preachy for me to repsect. honestly i don't think you really communicate your points effectively to anyone but your fan club. so have fun on the boards bb.

not one mention of PVD?!?!?!

You suck! I hate you!
Well I think you're a prick but your website full of great info.:laughing :jaded :laughing

I thought thta was the whole reason for the ignore feature, to filter out who/what you don't care for. I have yet to add anybody to my ignore list, seeing as I usually use BARF for entertainment, not educational purposes.

Come now, you should either be careful or you should intentionally wheelie across the intersection. You should not accidently wheelie across the intersection - that is being grossly out of control of your bike and destiny and is rather weak and lame.

Now, while we have a couple of my biggest fans here, including Bap sans mod hat, it seems that many people get confused and throw around hypocracy accusations around which has always puzzled me, but perhaps I am more sensitive to time and place than many.

For example:

asshat wheelie: performed in front of Alice's with 3 CHPs in the parking lot

non-asshat wheelie: performed where nobody gets hurt should things go bad

fucktard of the year wheelie: lose your girlfriend off the back

Most of the difference between being fully acceptable (in my book at least) and being uncool is the extent to which others could participate in your wreck should things go wrong.

A simpler person, a person with a less complex moral outlook, wants something more like "wheelies are always good" or "wheelies are always bad" - the whole thinking and time and place thing....well, that gets confusing.

As for taunting people I am trying to help - no, lot likely. I might taunt people I am not trying to help though. Of course, having awarded myself Fucktard of the Year I hardly exclude myself from any of the fun. Maybe I am not understanding this hypocrit shit or maybe people have fairly selective memories. Then again, any time someone will try to stand up and rise out of the swamp there will be others who will immediately chuck a turd.

In a way I am flattered that folks view me as something worth discussing and debating although it is distressing to find nasty little worms under the rock, such as when people you don't know announce that they dislike you. I suspect some of it comes from resentment and distaste for some of the changes in the nature of the board over the years, there used to be much more of a "20 somethings who just got sportbikes" feel to it which has, for good or bad, changed. I know there was a group of the old school core barfers who I managed to alienate and enrage by cracks about starbucks which were not even aimed at them or intended to offend anyone, but such is water under the bridge.

Sad that so much energy and attention is paid to the nature of certain board members instead of some of the cool aspects of riding. I hope those of you who have not yet done so go take a look at ABN's post on a trackday experience. That is the type of thing I would not mind seeing more of myself.

The word is "repetitive".

+1

I believe this thread should be closed. This is my personal opinion (not Mod.) I have never liked threads with a person's name in the title. (execpt the ones with the personality of the week in the title, which are fully for fun and giggles.)

Hell, I'm just givin all my mojo to BB.

True about selective memory...people don't remember the "lesson" you are trying to teach, but do remember that attitude you took. You look down at noobs that crashes (understandably), but you also looked down on that noob that wasn't being a fucktard; he was riding slowly because he was a noob. Then showed him up by busting a wheelie at the light with cars around. I agree with time and place for everything (sorry, I'm not as much of a simpleton as you might think), but you have demonstrated breaking your own "rule" of time and place.

Post like Abn's and Mike's are thoughtful...your's are as well, except you have to get through all the 'mud' then becomes just simply 'entertainment'.

Does expressing public love for BB, make on Gay? Just wondering.

P.S. IBTL
