Got the mandatory evac notice in Boyes Hot Springs yesterday afternoon and Boney was there and offering me a place to stay, we've never met.

Two motorcyclist cut around a barrier in Sonoma and wound up crashing into a water truck that was spraying down the hillside.

Critical injuries and they're having to take crews to respond that were fighting the fire.

I am sorry to hear about the downed riders. Hope they heal up.

My company has a manufacturing facility off Enterprise Way, from what I saw of the maps it looks like its 3-4 miles from the closes fire. Can anyone confirm that?

My family lost some ancillary buildings on our ranch above Sonoma as well as some machinery (poor Bobcat and John Deer) but the family home survived, largely due to a D4 Caterpillar from Shasta.

You guys probably saw this video of the Deputy driving through a tunnel of fire?

The fence on the left through the whole video is of my friend's fence who's 40 acres burned, including the house.

They are here and we have pulled them out of PTSD and they are doing well.

Had they waited 10 minutes before fleeing after a terse phone call from a friend they would be gone.

Obviously we are overjoyed to have them for the weeks it will take before they can get up there and clear land for a used motorhome from Nevada at a "friend price" from a family they know.

They are thinking of buying a kit house...unless California frowns on that kind of thing.

I think I'll start a "tell me about a Kit House" thread.

Enterprise is fine. Advisory evacuation for across 221/soscol by them but nothing going there way right now.
