Wine Country Ablaze

I sent this to the CHP to say thanks from barf.
It went to the officers I work with on the CMSP committee.

Here it is.

Julie,

The Bay Area Riders Forum would like to pass down our thanks to Chris Childs from Napa and all of the officers working the fires.
Our community has been gravely touched by this tragedy and seeing the helicopter rescues, the protection of property and other evacuation support of the citizens of the area makes me personally proud of the Highway Patrol and many of our members are posting such.

So a huge THANK YOU to all involved.

Amazing service.

My Best,

Denny

Bud,

Thank you for taking the time to reach out and send a message of appreciation. These types of messages do more than you know to help first responders cope with the long hours, fatigue, and gives them the encouragement they need to push through. I have passed your kind words along to Captain Chris Childs and Golden Gate Division Chief Paul Fontana, and both have already expressed their gratitude.

See you at the meeting later this month.

Thank you,

Chris

Thanks budman!!!

I have pulled over to every cop and fire fighter I've seen to see if they needed anything.

Multiple runs for Gatorade and I've given away two ice chest.

Massive response team this morning going up the hill behind my house.

From my point of view, the wind has picked up and behind Cobb mtn there is a bunch of smoke. Don't know which fire it is. F*""**k. Keep your prayers going.

The best interactive map I have found, in real time, of the fire and severity. You can use it to determine the current path and intensity. Looks like they're using Dry Creek Road as a natural break and so far, seems to be working. Moving south towards Napa.

Props Budman

Koi, can we take up a fund to have you distribute cold beverages to these guys?

Also, anyone in the area is it possible to leave water dishes and buckets of water out for the displaced critters? Sometimes just getting water gives them a chance to survive this.

I've been given all donations so far.

Target parking lot had a pile of stuff out being given out for donations from people. They loaded me up.

If you want to G.

Working it through barf likely will be a stumbling block as I am 115% overloaded and the Mrs. is still not back to health.

Well done Dennis. :thumbup
I haven't had time to throw gratitude around but mine is sincere and will be broadcasted appropriately.

Is there any way for others to come hand out donations? I'd like to help distribute to firefighters/officers but don't want to get in the way of first responders.

Evacuations mandatory for geyserville area. Geyser road to chalk hill north of 128

Less than 3 miles away.

Massive jump of the line from veeder over dry Creek down to just above darms Lane.

Yikes. Be careful, Koi. My offer still stands. Ample space down here for you and your stuff.
