Wine Country Ablaze

Fuck them all, my forecast is what's out my window.

Smoke and ash.

Blowing lazily south.

No sound.

No light.

Smell of smoke.

Most of my neighborhood has evacuated so it's strangely quiet for a Friday night?

Totally Friday.

Cell coverage has been dropping in and out for the last hour.

Another long night ahead.

Pretty much me too. I'm worried that the south breeze didn't develop and lift the smoke this afternoon. That has been my piece-of-mind-go-to-sleep cue the last few. I don't think it's going to be a good night.

Half my neighborhood has left. Most of the others will leave if there's an "advisory" evac.

Lucky for me our power is solid and my phone makes calls VOIP so long as I'm in my wireless circle.

Be Safe over there tonight. If you've got to make a move and things aren't sour over here, you're welcome to stay here.

Being advised to sleep in shifts tonight...

I'm the only one here...

Hearing booms again.

Little market around the corner from me was just robbed.

Dafuq people. Da.... Actual..... Fuck

Expanding voluntary evacuations for Sonoma.

East 7th from Napa to MacArthur

Not liking this at all. I'm going to try to get two hours of shut eye.

Hoping for the best, guys. My cousin is still sitting tight. Has been volunteering every day since this started and is sleeping in one and a half hour naps.

Realtime Wind Map. Not sure if this was already shared.

https://www.windy.com/38.303/-122.460?38.290,-122.421,11,m:eIZacK2

You can use settings to change from kts to mph and c to f and you can get a forecast down below.

We're looking pretty good over here, as long as the wind holds. No expansion in 24-36 hours and even talk of ending some of the mandatory evacs.

I feel badly for you guys in Napa/Sonoma. All the expansion is over there.

Stay safe.

I feel like lemony Snicket's right now.

I would like to tell you the wind is calm outside.

I would like to tell you that the smoke isn't too bad.

I would like to tell you I'm sleeping comfortably.

I'd like to also tell you that I didn't just wake up too a very obvious increase in campfire smell.

But that isn't this post.

I wish I could say that I'd never give you up.

I'd love to say that I'd never let you down.

If only I could say that I'd never run around.

And hurt you....

Or Rick Astley... :twofinger

Boney, awake? What's the latest there?

Koi, sending good vibes only, no fire!

Definitely picked up here in Lake Co where I am currently, but I'm close to the lake.

They've made the evacuations on the east side of town mandatory. I can see a good glow in the sky, especially when there s a flare up. Nothing even advisory for this part of town. Gonna take a walk.

Koi? Hows it going over there? I can see flare ups coming over the top of the ridge above Lovall Valley.

This is over by 7th street east. Castle Rd. and Lovall Valley Rd.

Latest? That's one scary photo Boney!

All available resources have been directed to Sonoma and the county is ringing down agencies for immediate need structure protection. Haven't been back on the roof yet to "see" what's up.

The radios suggest it's concentrated in the 7th street east, Lovall Valley and Castle Road areas.

Mandatory Evacuation Now Ordered for Santa Rosa residents east of Calistoga Road to the city limits and north of Melita Road to the city limits. This includes all of Skyhawk, Oakmont and much of Rincon Valley. Leave Immediately!

.SONOMA CO SHERIFF Advisory: Mandatory Evacuation - Hwy 12 between Adobe Canyon Rd and Calistoga Rd. Evacuate westbound to Santa Rosa immediately. www.nixle.us/9

Winds picking up in the last 20 minutes.

ABC channel 7 has current info on right now.

Strike Team being sent from Calistoga to Sonoma was diverted to Santa Rosa. Sounds like things are heating up in Kenwood/Oakmont.

Still no wind on the flats in Sonoma.

My roof-top observatins suggests most of the fire activity in Sonoma is now in the Lovall Valley area.
