You'll have to come to the shooting range and see them in person, it's kind of hard to explain the difference between calibers, but yes, the .22 comes in both cowboy flavor, and 007 flavor :)

As a heads up: Canyon Sports in Martinez is having a Springfield Armory sale with factory reps there on Saturday. They often have pretty good deals at these things, at the Glock one a couple months ago they had all Glocks for $499. They are located at 877-f Howe Road in Martinez in a werehouse area.

I won't be going because I'm poor. :(
 
gah, you dont know off hand if they might be ther Sunday too do you? Gonna be at Chabot this Sunday, and I need to talk to Springfield concerning my Operator
 
The store is open Sunday but the factory reps are there Saturday only. Theyr are open at 9am if you can get there early and they are there till five.

YES! i need a new springfield, i should have gotten the fullsize operator instead of the trp operator, bull barrel is a bitch

so im getting both!
 
uh, Ben, the TRP operator is as big as they come :confused Unless you mean the "loaded" operator? that was the same size as the TRP, just has a FLGR instead of a bull barrel, and the sights and finish are different as you know.
Current generation MC Operators have 3/4 dust shroud/light rails. but other than that they are all full size 5" barrel .45s
