BARF Militia

Just installed a Geissele SD-3G in an AR and holy shit it's a nice trigger. Can't wait to try shooting fast with it.

Indeed, they are nice. I am waiting to try the LaRue Tactical trigger. :thumbup

I put a Geissele/ALG advanced combat trigger in one of mine, and it's about the best $70 I could have possibly spent on this gun. It'll probably end up being part of my default setup now, unless I'm building one for a specific purpose.

Also, why the F don't anybody's FDE colors even kind of match!? :mad :laughing

And Ken, I just found a small cardboard box with your name on it. I think it's that rear sight, or something? If the address is still current I'll mail it.

...I'd take another class with them, just with fewer students. I'd also bring more appropriate gear. :teeth

Here is your chance since you have some experience with your pistol. This is good class.

Pistol Manipulations Clinic - $225 (includes range fees)

8 AM to 4 PM at the Santa Clara County Field Sports Park (Metcalf Range)

This one day pistol manipulations clinic is a fast paced course designed to renew and rebuild your fundamental skills with a pistol and help build new ones. Pistol 1 or equivalent is a prerequisite however intermediate pistol or pistol 2 is recommended for this course. We will challenge you to be able to draw faster, shoot more accurate, and fix malfunctions faster than you ever have in the past. We will be doing many repetitions to build the necessary motor skills and neuro-pathways necessary to achieve your goal. We will push you to reach your goals and highest potential in the course.

It said pistol 1 is prerequisite

...Pistol 1 or equivalent.. They basically want people that know the rules of firearms safety to heart aka no new shooters. So you and Cin are GTG. You do need a holster for this course.

I've taken a lot of similar courses so here is my recommendation. If you are going to take a class like this there are too many people wear tac gear. Seriously when was the last time you wore tac gear in public. So y'all should take the course wearing a CCW IWB/OWB. This is more of a real world scenario and you will do a course of fire. Which is a great tool to learn.

My CCW is a G26 in IWB.

GIVE ME THE LINKY, PLEASE!

Oh, I wasn't planning to wear a WarBelt, dropleg and all that shit.

At another auction today. It pays to closely inspect every gun before the sales start. They sold a S&W "Model 29" I bid up to about $600, as they have a 10% premium, and it was early so I didn't want to spend too much yet.
It sold for $750, which probably wasn't bad, it was said to include the box, and the condition was nice. When we were checking out, I saw the guy that got it. It wasn't a 29, but a 5 screw 44 Magnum, probably worth 2-3 times what he paid.

We did score a 27-2 and a 38/44 Heavy Duty.

I know I've said it before, but I'd just like to reiterate that grenade pouches are the perfect size to hold 2x 10rd AR15 mags. Reorganizing my range bag and found a couple extra grenade pouches to stick on the outside. More mags loaded + ready to go at home, less time spent loading at the range.
