BARF Militia

Don't worry about grips. It's all about focusing on your front sight and trigger pull.

For a target/practice pistol, you would want the grip and ergo to closely match your other guns for consistency, right? So, my thinking is that the fancy right handed grip on the MK III that I was looking at may not transfer as well as to my XD (or any other future full sized gun). Am I making too much out of nothing?

Does the Sporting Purposes apply to bolt-action rifles? I mean, we get the Sako TRG, Blaser R93, Sig SSG and similar, and those are purpose-built sniper rifles.

Yep, you're right. The non-sporting issue only applies to shotguns and semi-auto's.

As for you wanting a CMP Garand, the wife and I are going back east in August. We'll be camping throughout the south, and I'm trying to plan our trip to drive past the CMP store in Alabama. :thumbup I've been trying to decide if I want a Garand or Carbine. I think I'm leaning towards the Garand.

Ok, the DSR is around $10k, used! Guess that just killed it for me. If it was like 2 or 3k, I was in!

I have seen Sako's on calguns. I don't know what they cost, but I'd rather just hold out for a 308 AI.

Mike, I know this isn't an M1A, but maybe something to look into. :D

that magpul thing is pretty cool , but cinsidering theres like 4 threads on this just in barf alone, im pretty sure its getting lots of publicity, including the bad kind,

im guessing, we are going to see feinstein holding this thing up at some sort of press conference in her latest attepmt to disarm us all.

The thing is it is a prototype and they said they have no plans to make it production yet so I don't see what the big deal is yet. Just yesterday I got a bulletin on it at work. I was like wow I have never seen that before :rolleyes :laughing

Was at the LPRG range last Friday. The rimfire booths are nearest the range masters shack. The bigger and louder the bore the further down the line and away from the range master shack. Heh oh you have a Ruger Mark 22, one of furthest rimfire booths :D
Damn Mark 22 are loud considering it's only a 22. Two booths away was a marksman with a Winchester lever action 22. It was extremely quiet (Teuw sound). The Mark 22 (Burgggg sound) much louder.
The Winchester 22 has classic look of it's bigger 30 caliber sibling. Size was overall smaller tho.
Was there sighting in the Mark 22. Steadied on sand bag to eliminate movement error. Finally zeroed in with tight groupings at 25 yards. Last twenty minute firing session standing position, shot 80% in the black. Generally the group was low and left. Asked the range master, he says moving the grip fingers at same time as trigger finger is likely cause.
I can get in a guest at member price $6/3 hours. Only once per guest tho, after that is $12/3 hour.

does it have to be registered? :p

:laughing ahaha jk

hehe its ok Chi...thanks though...but that GSG-5 is sweet...maybe i'll look into it...:p
