Get Well Soon Frong

That's fucked up that no one noticed him missing for an hour. What the fuck kind of way to run a trackday is that? Someone should change the policy or something.
Anyway, get well soon and post something so I can start torturing you again.

dammit!

GET WELL SOON FRONG!!!

You must have been ripping out there. "A" rider tow, hopefully some laps in not off the first turn. Slightly reminiscent of when someone else had a huge off and way up the freaking hill, bike destroyed, etc. - it was a track day and motorcycle riding wake up call / ender.

For now I hope all surgery goes the best it could possibly go and recovery is swift. And all your nurses are :boobies :teeth :boobies

Good luck & heal fast...

Thats BS tho...

hey fr0ng - get well soon; gonna miss your posts for a while - but hopefully not long 'cause I can't wait to read about this one :notchuci (jeez, broken femur baking in the sun? man, that's f*cked up)

Seriously: really glad to hear you're gonna be ok!

It's going to be a long recovery, but I hope to see you back in the game again sometime. Stay strong brotha, we're pullin for you.

I'm just amazed that this is the first BARF thread I've seen where everyone's supportive, despite their personal feelings about Frong.

Feel the love. BARF love.

Heal up Frong.

OK first of all, how could nobody have seen him go off course and all that dust clouds that probably came up after turn 1? Are you serious nobody saw this, nobody in the pits saw him go up there? And jesus christ, there needs to be a better system where there's at least a haybail up there to stop people who run to the top of the hill. Had he run even further he'd be fucking dead by now.

This is extremely dangerous and I'm pretty pissed about it.

Seriously. Not just T-1 either. It would be so easy for T-Hill to get a farmer and just tractor all the run off areas, leaving soft dirt that would have the slowing effects of pea gravel. Many say that T-Hill is safer because of so much run off room, but that run off room is fucked up, bumpy hard shit. T-Hill does enough business that this should be easily afforded. Wishful thinking would be them putting in actual gravel.

PLOW IT

I hope Frong turns out ok, I've had a couple friends who got way fucked up from heat stroke and they had shorts and t-shirts, I can't imagine being out in full leathers, helmet and baking in the sun. Hope that didn't cause extra damage. That's really fucked up.

Hope you heal up quick Frong.

:wow :(

I was hoping the first post was a joke... then kept reading... :cry

We all hope you have a speedy recovery, Sami, like they said, Barf wouldn't be the same without your 8-page threads, lol. :p

Heal up quickly!!! :mstingray

Yana:banana

p.s. you look awesome in the pics!!! :thumbup

Damn, :( I hope your recovery is a speedy one.
Organizers and T-Hill may have some work to do regarding staffing.

I'm not amazed-- it doesn't take much imagination to realize that it could have been them out there. Broken femurs can bleed out people to death in a matter of minutes, and complications from heat stroke could jeopardize recovery (if not flat out kill someone!)

This isn't about personality, but about an event that is bordering on negligance.

fr0ng, pull through man and become the bionic man. better, faster, smoother, with extra asbestos armor :laughing

As much as I give the little guy shit, I've tossed it away right
at the same spot he did at THill at well over 100 and I know
exactly how fucking scary it is to go spinning ass over teakettle
wondering which flip is going to break your fucking neck.

I hope he got a big fucking knock on the head and won't
remember a thing aside from rolling out on the track and then
waking up in the hospital. Laying out there in the dirt for
that long would suck.

If anyone knows, I'm living proof that you can get fucked up
and come back to ride just as fast and hard as you did before.

He'll be back.

Get well soon, Sam.

This man could have easily died. The police and the certainly the (civil) courts would see this incident as (extreem?) negligence -- bar none! It would not have to take a crafty lawyer or DA.

Furthermore, for a track in the middle of nowhere, with plenty of open space, there are hardly any gravel traps and proper (prepped) runoff. Some scary stuff; although americans are used to third world tracks anyway. :(

Get well fr0ng :)

Can we not talk about lawyers and negligence when it comes to riding track. We don't need them to ruin our sport...

Get well soon amigo.

As far as the track goes, Thunderhill is a good track. The workers are generally good at thier jobs.
It sounds like a understaffing issue. Was turn three staffed? No? How many stations were manned? I spend about 230.00 on auto track days. I have always wondered how bike track days are so much cheaper. I think I just figured it out.

Sorry you are going through this fr0ng.
