NFL 2020

:x

....hmmmm....uhhmmmm...

:x

In my expert art critic's opinion it needs more juice. Paint it in like money shot tears?

:laughing See, I knew some Niners fans could come in with honest and reasonable artistic perspective on how JJ should be represented. :teeth

LOL, don't be mad, just because your team is a broke ass nobody wants to watch. :laughing We can't play in obscurity for a few decades, we win Championships too regularly for that. ;)

Last I checked the Seahawks were higher in the exposure rankings (yet not straight TV). And broke? I'm fairly certain they're not. I don't know where anyone is coming up with that analysis. Just because Wilson was the $$ man at QB doesn't mean they're broke.

Team valuation. That is how the NFL decides to leverage their TV Slots. All 4 NFC East are in the Top 10 most valuable teams. My guys and Dallas are always in the top 5, the Redskins usually are too, but they are slipping right now due to name problems, but when they rebrand, I bet they go through the roof. Talk to me when you are in the Top 3 :laughing

The NFC West Certainly seem to be rising though. The Niners usually get up in the ranks when the team is playing well, but fucking hell, look at the Rams. The were one of them most broke teams in Football 5-6 years ago.

Some people doubted them returning to the L.A. market. :laughing

:laughing Nice. I'm diggin' the Chiefs fans mobbing a response though. When the fuck were KC fans ever a thing before? They didn't really seem to exist prior to this Mahomes era.

You mean the LOUDEST fans in the NFL? Maybe YOU were not paying attention to the places that the CHIEFS fans hang out.

Team valuation determines TV slots? No it does not. Outside local NFL TV rights, prior performance and matchups determine elective TV primetime/MNF/London placement. Your team should get nothing in primetime and be going to London every year. I'd rather watch the Jets v. Bengals. :laughing

It's well known Chiefs fan have been some of the most dedicated fans in the NFL for decades. Aside from the Packers, I can't think of a more loyal fan base. Seattle gets a bunch of press but it's all crowd noise and hype. The bandwagoner criticism really rings true. Speaking of noise level (and as previously mentioned), Arrowhead has been well known to be the loudest stadium in the NFL. The fact you don't know Chiefs fans show how much of a NYG/NFC east bubblehonk you are. Step into the light and join the rest of us... :welcome :x:teeth

Unfortunately the Giants, and Jets, will always get prime time slots no matter how crappy they are because the production teams, most based out of NY, and usually fans of either crappy NY team, don't have to travel and add expense to the productions.

I would hope Lynch would counter and get O'Brien to throw in a 2nd round pick as well. Because negotiation...

There is truth to this, much like the hard on ESPN has for the Yankees and Red Sox. It's too bad for the rest of us.

LOL, it is true, I mainly only pay attention to real football teams, not AFC teams.

Nevertheless, even when I was in Kansas City for work 3 years ago, I didn't see that much Chiefs gear around on either side of the border.

Like, here and there you would see a license plate surround or a ball cap, but not even close to what even like poor, poor Cleveland has going on with Browns gear all over downtown. I definitely saw a lot of Royals gear though. Maybe they are seasonal there, I was there during the Summer.

:laughing I know a lot about most of the NFC, but since science has clearly shown that any football team with 60 years or less under the belt is a peasant charade of meaningless newcomers without any true culture or breeding, it makes it hard to pay attention to any of them except the Steelers, the Broncs, and the unfortunately recent phenomenon of the Pats.

:teeth

The Valuation is a reflection of the size of the fanbase, which is a reflection of the ratings potential, which is a direct impact on decision making on ad revenue pricing.

i.e. Teams from large population dense areas get preferred playtime. How much you want to bet the aforementioned Rams will get to be a new Primetime favorite for the foreseeable future, regardless of performance?

Having grown up in the western suburbs we had the couth to not wear jerseys on The Plaza. We saved that stuff for the mall and Arthur Bryant’s.:twofinger

Nice, maybe it is just a cultural thing there as you say. They didn't seem to have the posted Sports gear in the bars and restaurants that I am accustomed to in my much more regular coastal experiences in New York and California.

I am curious to hear more about the cultural reasons why you think KC Fans do not have the same, "Niners/Raiders/Jets/Giants Stickers up in every sandwich house in the City," sort of mentality there.

Do you think their cross state border conflicts have something to do with wanting to be more careful about proclaiming a side and flying a flag?

I’ve not lived there this century so my theories are suspect. Plus the only jersey I own is a Durant that I bought in Vietnam last year (it’s for sale)!
We know we’re in fly-over country and feel ignored by the coastal media cartels. We thought the I 70 World Series was great, in part because we knew the ‘BC’s corporate types were cringing. The Chiefs and Royals are the only game in town so not as great a need to declare allegiance.
I’f not for Mahomes I’d only see the Chiefs when they played Oakland. Now I’ll see them when they play the coastal teams.:laughing
If not for Lamar Hunt and Ewing Kauffman Kansa City would still be a cow town. Now we’re just midwestern hicks.

No one cares if anyone is playing the Chargers. We will see if they are the first NFL team in like 70 years to go bankrupt, but you might not see shit when playing them, LOL. Especially now that the AFC is no longer in the Bay Area Market.
