When guns become a fetish.

Good, mindless trolling, OP. Didn't expect anything less from you.

And Daks, it's been pointed numerous times that when it comes to gun issues, you have absolutely zero clue and experience on topic. Do yourself a favor and take Nemo on her offer. Hopefully it'll give you at least some ground to stand on.

Guns = Dicks

They advertise larger magazines and assault rifles as masculine and mention "man cards" and strength and power.

Feeds into the average male ego pretty easily.

it.

Hmm it looks like it's exactly like Daks said... Because:

Gascón said that prior to shooting Valdez with a .45-caliber pistol, the suspect had waved his gun in front of a restaurant and then threatened to shoot a passenger on a different train. Both actions happened near the Muni stop outside San Francisco State where he boarded the train Valdez was on, Gascón said.

Holy cow, that stuff is badass! How can we get you hooked up with some of their gear?

Hey, if you can find the rig , I'll bring the AK. ;)

Brett, I've known many many gun owners, most with fetishes like myself, yet not one has killed a single person. Oh, and yes we are concerned about gun control. Since I started buying guns my choices have declined and declined. The problem is common sense gun control has little to do with common sense. Why do I have to wait ten days when I already have access to firearms? Everyone pushes registration, but when has it ever been used to stop or solve a crime? Well, it hasn't because that's not it's true purpose. All these laws do is make it harder for people like me to enjoy our hobby. I have relatively few guns compared to some I know, but many compared to others. Certainly would appear to upset the police chief.

Do I have a fetish? Maybe. But I don't harm anyone so who thinks they have the right to tell me what I can and can't have? Funny thing is "peaceful" people have no problem asking the government to use their guns to force people to do their wishes. The statist/progressive people are the truly violent ones in my book, their just too wussy to hold the gun themselves and instead use the government's guns for their bidding.

GAU 8. Ultimate gun pron. Someone pass the kleenex.

The people who scare me the most are the ones who fixate on guns, and often the most visible of these are the Open Carry activists.

The people whom I am the least comfortable with owning guns are the ones most passionate and outspoken about gun ownership rights. Ironically, these are the people that give the other side the most ammunition to ban gun ownership.

Thoughts?

Thoughts? How about this one. How many Open Carry activists do you know that went and committed crimes with their guns?
Or how about this one. It's not a secret that I am very as you put it "passionate and outspoken about gun ownership rights". And also I have more than a few guns. Do I have a gun fetish? Am I about to go on shooting rampage?

You remind me of people who's going around throwing N word left and right, but "it's ok for me to say because I have black friends".

A few things.

1. Carrying a loaded AR-15 and handgun openly is perfectly legal in NM.

2. This man will singlehandedly change gun laws in NM.

Firstly, I do not want the police following me around everywhere I go.

I do not want looks of fright and doubt from every person that I walk past.

And this is the other problem.

I would love to have trolled that guy in person. I think open carry advocates are impotent.

The guy with the nine under his shirt scares me more.

In what way? "A bill to ban guns in the Roundhouse was actually introduced in the last legislative session, but it didn't go anywhere."

I've met plenty of folks with firearms under their shirts, and they didn't give a shit about whatever laws were in effect.

Whenever I hear the argument about guns start with "Look, im not anti-gun", "I own guns..." "I'm just saying...." it reminds me of a KKK member or confederate saying "Look, I have black friends, I'm not anti black, I'm just saying...."

In short: I don't believe the argument.

So does every person who posts a gun related view that opposes yours need to first post a pic of their gun? Or should we just make our avatar is holding a gun?

Lol retarded

1). I don't get your point, Brett.

2). Daks, I really want to like you, but you are way too ignorant and off base when it comes to these threads. Did somebody shoot your puppy when you were a kid, or something? I'm serious, was it how you were raised, or is there some weird trauma there?

3). Kevin, no... but having an opinion based in reality and facts helps. Also if people would offer their opinion while not being an inflammatory anus, it would help.

What's a gun fetish?

It sounds more like he had a murder fetish and just used the guns to that end.

Troof! Having a passion for, or even a "fetish" for guns in no way relates to the likelihood of committing murder. The glorification of violence, real world violence, combined with a lack of self worth, a lack of personal responsibility in one's actions, and a lack of placing value in human life is concerning when it comes to the propensity for murder. Combine that with drugs, alcohol, and/or mental illness and that is a bad recipe, regardless of guns or gun laws.

I have a friend who has a car fetish. He owns many cars and takes real good care of them. Does that mean he will wake up one day and use them cars to run over kittens and little children? I am concerned :(

you cant just categorize people like that OP. if all gun owners who had X amount(to qualify as having a fetish) had killing humans in mind, this country would be awash in murder and blood. clearly this is not the case.

Daks does not even make a good troll. i give her a measly 1.5 score(holds up card).
